The Hotel was an okay place to stay for an overnight. It could use some upgrades especially in the Bathroom and the cooling system. We recorded the sound it made on our phones. It sounded like an aircraft taxi to the gate when it started to run. Not an easy thing to sleep with all night. I’m pretty sure they knew it was an issue because the filters were out of the unit and laying on top when we arrived. We replaced them. Too late and too tired to complain.

The Hotel is kinda Dated and had that humid sticky feel but was pretty clean. The breakfast was hot and nice. It was only for one night. If I had to stay longer I would pick a different one.

Disappointed in Hampton Inn
I went inside to check in and a woman was already at the front desk. She wanted another room because she found a pair of dirty children's underwear in her room. She also complained that the room smelled musty. The front desk person blamed the mustiness on the building being old. When I checked in, she told me not to use a certain door because the key pad was broken and I would be locked out. When I entered my room it was very clean but definitely had a musty odor. When I looked out the window, I had a view of all the cars waiting in line for the Burger King drive thru. In the morning, I went to breakfast and all of the coffee machines were not working. I booked my stay at the Hampton Inn because the hotels are always nice and consistent in different states. I will definitely look for a different hotel if I ever stay in Batesville, MS.

The room was clean and didn't have a musty smell like so many other hotels. The carpets in this hotel have lots of stains, more than I have ever seen in a hotel before, but again no unpleasant odors noted. I really liked the source of the hand soaps, shampoo, shower gel, and conditioner supplied in the bathroom. They were sulfate, paraben, and cruelty free.

Upon entering the room, I noticed stains on the shower curtain, bugs on the floor, hair on the walls in the shower, and mold scattered throughout. To add to my dismay, when I was offered a new room, it was not spacious enough to accommodate my family. I had initially booked a double queen room but was moved to a king room with a pull-out couch that turned out to not be a pull-out.

Room was advertised as sleeping 5 but was only 2 queens. I was thinking there must have been a pull out but I was wrong. Outside of that breakfast had a good variety and the staff was friendly and helpful.
