**Review for Lighthouse Inn and Cottages**
I recently stayed at the Lighthouse Inn and Cottages and found the experience to be quite disappointing. Upon arrival at 4 PM on a busy Friday, the rooms were not ready. There was a line of 14 people waiting to check in, with only one staff member available to handle the process. This led to significant delays and frustration among guests. Despite the inconvenience, there was no compensation or effort to make up for the rooms not being prepared on time. The excuse given was that housekeepers had called in sick, which, while understandable, should not have impacted the guests' experience so drastically.
The WiFi at the inn was spotty and slow, making it difficult to stay connected. Additionally, the cable TV provided was old and antiquated, lacking smart capabilities that are now standard in most accommodations. This added to the overall sense that the facilities were outdated and not well-maintained.
The exterior of the property is also in need of significant repairs. It is run down and gives a poor first impression. However, if you stay in one of the cottages, a full-service breakfast is included, which was a bright spot in an otherwise disappointing stay. The breakfast was really good and a rare highlight of the visit.
There were also issues with the plumbing in some units, where the hot and cold water were reversed, adding to the list of inconveniences.
