Hiking Central
My friends and I stayed here for four nights to hike the Goat Rocks Wilderness and Mt. Rainier trails. The cabin was comfortable for our group of 5. Thankfully the air conditioning worked well when the temperature went up to 93!

Small cabin close to Mt Rainier
The photographer did a great job making this cabin look bigger than it is. However, it was great for 5 friends and affordable. The kitchen is well stocked. It was clean and I really appreciated the fan in the downstairs bedroom as the air conditioner doesn't keep up downstairs, way better than having none for sure. Cruisers Pizza is a nice stop for lunch. They have a wide variety of food.

Perfect Rainier Base Camp
The cabin is very close to the Stevens Canyon entrance to Mt. Rainier and was very comfortable for our family of 4 with room to spare. Our boys loved the loft area and it was very convenient to have bathrooms on both floors. It was very clean and comfortable with great amenities for cooking and entertainment. I would definitively stay here again and recommend it to others visiting the area.

Cozy spot
This cabin was perfect for our ski weekend. It was well equipped, comfortable, cozy and very quiet. We loved the old cabin feel; but it has good amenities-kitchen was well equipped and well labeled. Bathrooms were good, bedrooms comfortable. We really enjoyed coming home after stellar skiing at White Pass and relaxing. We’ll stay here again!

Convenient Clean Cabin
Papa's Packwood cabin is a clean and convenient cabin to base out of tot explroe the area and to access White Pass skiing (20-30 minutes) It is a cabin so don't expect 5 star Ritz Carlton accommodations but is is clean, comfortable and generally fun. It is outfitted with plenty of gams, streaming and wifi. Our family of 7 (4 adults, 2 children and 1 infant) had a great time and woudl rent again.

Great base for exploring Washington State
This property was more well-equipped than the listing stated. There was everything there we could possibly need for cooking, etc. There was a keurig, a regular coffee maker, a microwave, a hair dryer. Everything was labelled clearly and easy to find. The beds were comfortable and the place was very clean. The neighborhood was very quiet. There was adequate parking for probably up to 4 vehicles. There was a lovely fire pit that can be used if there is no fire ban. The heating system was easy to use. I do not have a single negative thing to say about this property and I would definitely stay here again. Also, the owners were very prompt in responding to any questions both before our arrival and during. The cottage is old and is definitely a cottage, so if you are looking for luxury, you should probably stay somewhere other than Packwood, but I felt very comfortable there. Also, you have gas stations, coffee shops, and grocery stores right in town. Surprisingly the gas was cheaper there than in larger towns.

We really enjoyed our stay at Papa’s cabin! It was a perfect home base for us as we spent a lot of time exploring and hiking. Great access to town, restaurants, and grocery store. We took advantage of the fire pit, grill and outside deck. It was just a peaceful and pretty location to spend time with family.

Love this Cabin
This was the perfect place to explore Mt. Rainier! The town, Packwood, was awesome! We enjoyed getting coffee at Mountain Goat every morning and the food at Blue Saloon and Cruisers Pizza was delicious! We saw so many elk around the town too which was awesome! This cabin was only 20-30 min away from the Ohanapecosh entrance to Mt. Rainier! We were only 1 hour away from the other 2 entrances - Sunrise and Paradise. I also loved the binder that the host provided with fun day activities, menus of the local restaurants and the hikes around Mt. Rainier, they were incredibly helpful! I would definitely stay here again!

Excellent Stay
We were a group of 6-4 adults and 2 kids. Our plan was to explore Mt. Rainier. This location was perfect! The neighborhood was quiet and quaint. The home was clean and well equipped with amenities. The kitchen was stocked with plenty of pots and pans, silverware, and appliances. The stove was new, clean, and easy to use. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The pillows and bed were perfectly soft and comfortable. I appreciate having a washer and dryer to use. The directions listed within the home made everything easy to use. I would stay here again.

Great place for Mt Rainier, needs some fixes
This cabin is a great place to stay if you plan to visit mount Rainier. Photos are exact, nice area to sit outside, a bit cramped inside. Older, no renovations done recently. At the same time very clean. I have complaints about bbq not working, they fixed it the next day but my expectation is everything to be in order. Also bbq was very dirty. Washing machine didn’t work too, wasn’t fixed, needs major repair. Overall nice but appliances have to be fixed.

Beautiful area
We used this cabin as a base for many hikes in Mount Rainier and its adjacent national forests. It is an amazing area to explore. If you fly into an international airport to get here, you may want to purchase groceries or necessities before you get to Packwood. It has a small grocery store, but its prices are high and its selection is limited. The cabin was clean and well-organized, which added to our enjoyment of this beautiful part of America.

Beautiful
This cabin was great. It had some nice updates and it was clean, tidy, cozy and well thought out. All the drawers in the kitchen were labeled which made the navigation so easy. The kids loved having the whole upstairs to themselves and we could have slept quite a few more than our party of six. The neighborhood was quiet and we had a fantastic stay. We would recommend Papa’s cabin for anyone wanting to be a little off the beaten path but also close to amenities. Also, Packwood was a cute little town with yummy food and elk everywhere.

Perfect home as for a family ski trip!
Our family of 5 had a wonderful time at this cabin! We especially appreciated the fully stocked kitchen, cozy beds and comforters, the and cleanliness of the home. We discovered a new board game, America in a Box, which provided hours of entertainment for the entire family. Just 25 minutes to White Pass made for a convenient home base for the long weekend. And only 5 minutes to the grocery store and several restaurants and brewery! We can’t wait to stay again during the summer and explore all the area has to offer.

We enjoyed staying close to Mt Ranier. Unfortunately the road was closed due to a fire so we had to drive a long way around. The cabin met our needs. Nice front deck to eat outside. Nearby Elk herd fun to see.

Wonderful Weekend at Papa’s Cabin in Packwood, WA
This property is perfect for any length of stay. Not only is it spotless but well organized! Kitchen, though small, has labels identifying contents. Plenty of glassware, silverware and dishes for a crowd. Property is very large and perfect for large families— lots of space for lots of game playing and/or deck sitting. Most importantly, close to Mt Rainier National park exploration.
