a perfect stay

Our stay at marianne's place was bliss. Not only was the property itself stunning with everything needed for a week away with friends, but as a host marriane was always on hand to answer any queries or provide restaurant recommendations. Honestly could not fault this stay! 10/10

Amazing Converted Barn in Vineyards

Had a great week staying in this house for. A 70th birthday family gathering (8 adults 8 children) and was really well setup - the location is incredible, mountains in the distance and vineyards all around. Marianne gave great recommendations for croissants and restaurants to accommodate a large group. Also the main Chateaux (and local wine) is literally 1min walk away so make sure you stock up! There were a couple of small issues which Marianne sorted out pretty much straight away - a couple of small minor things would be that there is general wear and tear in the property (i.e. kitchen cupboards, BBQ and table tennis table) but this does not detract from what is a beautiful property. The surrounding area is great as well with beaches, villages and cites all worth a visit. Had a great stay.

Family Holiday

We stayed at the property for a week and overall impressed with it all. The owner was welcoming and the house beautiful with all equipment needed and all bedrooms of equal standard. A few areas to help improve our stay would’ve been a book with local restaurants, shops, activities etc which would’ve been very helpful. The pool steps need to be fixed as some of the tiles are loose and the pool needs to be cleaned more regularly. Air conditioning downstairs would really improve the experience in such hot weather! But we would recommend this property and would stay again! Thank you.

Incredible! Wow

This property was amazing. Five stars! The house itself was stunning. Each room was beautifully decorated and comfortable. All the rooms were spacious and clean. The kitchen was fully equipped and we were able to easily navigate things. The house had it all!! The property and the land around it was so idyllic. It’s such a magical place. Marianne’s dog, Otago was such a sweetheart. He hung out at the property and kept our group company. Our group of 16 had a wonderful time. We loved this place. I know all of us would definitely recommend to anyone we know to stay here.

Great house for large group

We stayed here last week with a group of 7 adults and 8 child aged from 4-14.. house is perfect for large groups. As 5 separate families who go away each year it is hard to find a house that doesn’t have atleast one poor room.. this house has 7 and all of the bedrooms are like hotel rooms with en suite. 2 Of the rooms have mezzanine floors which sleep 2 children also so no problem for small children who need to be in same room. Location is great 15 mins from beach and 10 Mins from supermarket. The only minor downside is the downstairs bedroom doesn’t have aircon but this wasn’t a real issue and wouldn’t put us off coming again.lovely house . We will be back 👍👍

30th birthday with friends

There were some small issues with drains/pipes and hot water but the hosts responded promptly and were kind and accommodating. Would most definitely come again! A lot of the restaurants etc in the area were closed for the winter break because i came in the off season but it was still quite lovely and the views were incredible.

Lots of problems (beaucoup de problèmes)

This property could be lovely, but unfortunately we had many problems during our stay which were not rectified after requests, communication with the owner was difficult so we had to just give up. The main problem was the smell of drains, this made the use of one bedroom impossible as it was so strong. So our kids had to camp out in the games room. Second problem is the aircon. While it is fine upstairs there is no aircon downstairs, which means it is extremely hot in summer - making a further bedroom unusable and cooking in the kitchen like a sauna. Other issues related to maintenance. Never stayed anywhere like this where the pool was not maintained once during a whole week. Could be so much better if properly managed. Cette propriété pourrait être charmante, mais malheureusement, nous avons eu de nombreux problèmes pendant notre séjour qui n'ont pas été résolus après les demandes, la communication avec le propriétaire était difficile, nous avons donc dû abandonner. Le principal problème était l'odeur des égouts, ce qui rendait l'utilisation d'une chambre impossible car elle était si forte. Nos enfants ont donc dû camper dans la salle de jeux. Le deuxième problème est la climatisation. Bien qu'il fasse beau à l'étage, il n'y a pas de climatisation en bas, ce qui signifie qu'il fait extrêmement chaud en été, ce qui rend une autre chambre inutilisable et cuisine dans la cuisine comme un sauna. Autres problèmes liés à la maintenance. Je n'ai jamais séjourné dans un endroit comme celui-ci où la piscine n'a pas été entretenue une fois pendant toute une semaine. Pourrait être tellement mieux s'il est bien géré.

Perfect large family villa

This property was just as photos and more! Very unique property on the outskirts of the village, 10 minutes from Collioure., with lots of space for everyone. Marianne, our host was wonderful and always replied promptly to our requests /questions and helped us with restaurant and taxi bookings too. We would all be happy to visit again another year.

Lovely location and property. Had everything we needed and Marianne was really flexible with Check In and Out. Palau Del Vidre was very quiet but close to coast/more choice of restaurants if you had car.

Group family trip

Delightful stay in a home perfect for multiple families. Very comfortable and chic. Fabulous location very quiet but on the edges of a nice village and set within a vineyard and fruit producing estate, owner very welcoming and friendly but also gives enough space to enjoy the house to the full. Pitch perfect for us.

Fantastic & stylish villa, perfect for large groups

We recently stayed in this property for 5 days with a group of 16 to celebrate a post wedding get together with friends who had travelled from Australia. The villa is absolutely stunning and was perfect for a getaway with such a large group and accommodated everyone comfortably. Plenty of room both inside and out for the group to relax and enjoy the south of France. Marianne (property manager) was very helpful leading up to and during the process. She even provided us fresh apricots from the orchard next door which were absolutely delicious! A fantastic few days away and would highly recommend.

Superb house beautifully appointed in a great area

This property on a fruit and wine producing domaine is superb. Lots of space to provide privacy for everyone. Well equipped with lots of taste we spent a week en famille with 15 of us enjoying the pool, games room and kitchen! The domaine is quiet and yet one is fifteen minutes drive from the tourist towns and beaches of Collioure and Argelès-sur-Mer. Beautiful walking and hiking in the Alberes plus canonying to name just three activities we undertook. Marianne Jonqueres was a delightful host and available whenever we needed her. Highly recommended and would love to return.

Fantastic Property & Fantastic Host / Owner

The property is located on a private “family run” winery quietly hidden away on the edge of the village but located 15minutes walk from the centre. You can taste & purchase wine 1-2 Minutes’ walk from the front door of the property & I highly recommend you do this as the wine is fantastic. Truly the pictures on this website don’t do the property full justice. Modern industrial interior design has been executed outstanding! Marianne (the owner) is very helpful & always contactable for any help or advice. Would highly recommend this property, we will 100% be returning in the summer.

Marianne à été une hôte très à l'écoute, présente et arrangeante. Le gîte été incroyable, autant concernant la décoration, que les prestations fournis. De plus, le cadre est dépaysant et reposant, pas de vis-à-vis. Le gîte est très bien équipé, la literie été parfaite. Nous reviendrons.
