"Lovely hotel, and very secure as you seem to not make your way to the rooms through a private entrance to a courtyard. Food / drinks / atmosphere were really nice in the pub next door. Room very comfortable. "

"Tempted not to leave a review, as this place was so lovely I'd quite like to keep it to myself. Isolated deep inside the wonderful Newstead Abbey grounds, it was utterly fabulous. The listing doesn't do it justice. There were only two of us, with the rest of the family visiting one day, but you could easily have a family of four. Very well equipped, and with the lovely enclosed patio which is quite the sun trap, and with a bbq. Great to have the separate living room and dining room. Everything worked seamlessly. We had a long weekend and had wondered about visiting Sherwood Forest or Papplewick Pumping Station, but in the end we never left the grounds!"
