We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. Our room was the corner room on the second floor with a view of the ocean and the small town square. The large private patio was a beautiful place to have breakfast and dinner. Esther and Phillip (the owners) are some of the most friendly and interesting people we met in the Dominican Republic. Manuel was also super friendly. Ronny, the employee that we called "Pina" because of his awesome Pineapple style hair, is the kind of person that you just want to be around because of his amazingly cheerful smile. All of the people at the hotel made our stay very enjoyable, we would stay here again just to talk to all of these interesting people.
The hotel is in a small town that doesn't have a whole lot, but it is the absolute best place for day trips throughout the area. We drove to Bahia de las Aguilas two times, one of my favorite beaches I have ever visited, and I love beaches. It is about a one and a half hour drive, but so worth it. We also went to the Haiti border market, it was definitely a trip worth making. The boat tour of Laguna de Oviedo is also within driving distance, also worth the trip.
We ate dinner there every night, it was so good we didn't see a need to go elsewhere. There are some water issues with showering and the wi-fi, but seriously that is to be expected in a small town in an area like this, not a huge deal.
We loved this place, the owners and Ronny! Hopefully we can return again :)
