If you can afford to stay elsewhere, you should
Many broken things (our sink did not work, coffee and juice machines out of order, shower curtain broken). Though we booked a room with an attached WC, we did not get that. Our WC was just outside the room (which is fine) but was right next to the stairs and used for all kinds of loud and creative experiences during the night. We have stayed in 4 HI hostels this week so we knew what we were getting into. We enjoyed the neighborhood which was very international and lively during the evening and close to a metro stop. The breakfast was very tasty and they allowed us to eat outside food in the common area. Push button showers were interesting. They put the sheets on our beds which was a real plus! We splurged for towels and we’re happy we did.

Excellent service. Customer-friendly staff. Interesting building, spacious rooms, comfortable, clean, quiet. Good breakfast to kick start the day. Quite interesting to see more older people, as opposed to the regular younger people at hostels.

Worst hostel I ever went. I was supposed to stay 3 nigths but left after the first one even if they didn't want to refund me. First, its in a ghetto (you don't feel like your in France at all) and I didn't feel secure at all (weird man following me, an other offering me cigarettes..). Second, its dirty (the room and the shared toilets) and it smells urine in the corridors. Third no AC so you need to keep the window open and people are partying in the street all night. Do not go there..

Das ist den Namen Herberge in Paris, nicht wert.
Ich kann die Bewertungen nicht ganz nachvollziehen. Wenn man auf eine Toilette mit allen muss, dann sollte es sauber sein. Unbequem war die Toilette sowieso. Alles ohne Plan hin montiert. WC-Sitz, Papierrollenhalter, mini Waschbecken und Handpapierhalter in der selben Ecke montiert. So unpraktisch und unbequem dass man sich ein quetschen musste. Der Frühstück war schrecklich. Am ersten Tag haben die Mitarbeiter einfach die Kaffeeautomaten abgeschaltet und gesagt zu viel Kaffe wird benutzt. Nicht das der Kaffe vom Automaten besser wäre, aber die haben dann Kaffekannen mit Kaffe hingesetzt. Das war vielleicht etwas anderes, denn Kaffe war es nicht. Meine Kinder wollten einen zweiten Croissant haben und es wurde abgelehnt. Seit wann werden zum Frühstück 6° kalte Eier angeboten? Hat mal jemand kalte Eier gegessen? Dreck überall und viel Gestank.

Room itself was very good, though you can only open a window a little bit if you want to ventilate. Personnel was friendly and nice, kitchen staff less. Not many healthy options for breakfast, but what do you expect. If you are alone and not the bravest, avoid the area around metro La Chapelle in the evening.
