The location was great, quiet neighbourhood. The lobby was more updated but the hotel room itself was a little dated and as a female traveler, not having a dead bolt lock on the door was a little concerning. The check-in experience and staff were great.

The Hotel Ampere was easy to get to from Gare du Nord, and we were surprised to see the Arc de Triomphe from the end of the block, about 20 min further away. Our room was delightful, stylish, bright, and modern, and the staff were very welcoming and completely professional. The neighbourhoods is as quiet as Paris likely gets, but liberally dotted with cafés patisseries etc, and a 15 minute walk from a large, exquisitely lush and verdant park with a coffee shop and a lovely vintage carrousel and children’s swings tucked into one corner. We would return to the Ampére in a heartbeat.

What you would expect in Paris. A lot of building works in the area due to the Olympics. Car parking attendant very good at his job and very approachable. Room had few sockets, could only find 3, one of which was the coffee machine, which did not work, a second hidden and although visible no way a plug would fit in. No shaver point in the bathroom. Comfortable bed and good location.

This was a pleasant surprise. Was struggling to find a hotel for a reasonable price and this opened up a few weeks ahead of our trip. Not the biggest room but we had 3 people in here with a queen bed and a twin. Other than a group enjoying the patio at 2 a.m. the room was quiet and comfortable. A tad bit away from the sites but the metro is nearby.

We stayed here 3 nights and it is conveniently located near bus/metro/RER (regional train). You can take the bus to the Arc de Triomphe, take the RER to the Eiffel Tower and the Palace of Versailles, and take the Metro to pretty much all other attractions. The breakfast is pricey but there is a good bakery nearby La Pompadour where you can get breakfast. Right next to the bakery are two Chinese restaurants with good but cheap food. There are plenty of other restaurants too.

Room is very comfortable and well laid out. Beds (including an extra bed) were comfortable and bathroom has two sinks, a tub and a shower. Breakfast was fresh and tasty. Metro stations are only a short walk away. We had a very pleasant stay. We would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Paris.

Hotel was nice and clean. Bed was comfy. Staff were friendly. My only dislike was that the toilet was seperate from the bathroom and if you used the toilet, you had to walk across the room to the bathroom to wash your hands. Other than that, it was a nice stay.
