Although the staff member we spoke with was very accommodating , it was not a very restful stay as the fire alarm went off ( no fire ) but not sure what the issue was, the walls were quite thin so the noises outside and above our room was quite loud unfortunately so we did not get much rest at this hotel.

The check in process was easy and the front desk staff were nice. The room was clean, but severely outdated. The walls in the bathroom were painted over numerous times. The marble had more than a few severe cracks. The mattress sank, had no padding, and was very uncomfortable. The leather chairs had their leather worn away and looked damaged.

The old mill inn was a beautiful stay close to the highway but away from noises. Traveling all over the east coast it was a nice surprise to find an old classic gem. We will stay there again for sure.

A fine experience, in a great location, at a very good rate -- but showing it's age a bit. Only hitch was the rate crept up each day; had not run into that before. Desk attributed it to making reservation through Expedia/Hotels.com

An Excellent Value for the Money
The property was much larger than the pictures let on. Neither a good thing nor bad, just an observation. We arrived early and our room was ready so that was nice. The room was a “named” suite so before we opened the door our expectations were raised. However, when we opened the door our first impression was just okay. Don’t even think the bed was a king. A wedding was going on, so certain areas were closed off. We walked over to the restaurant and had a glass of wine and an appetizer. Even though we were in between serving hours (3:00 pm), they went ahead and seated us and the service was very good. The next morning a few were screaming outside our door and running up and down the hallway. Can’t blame the hotel, though. Overall a decent place to stay and an excellent value.

Despite a wedding, and being right next to major highways, our room was so quiet! I was pleasantly surprised how sound proofed it was. The courtyard view was nice too and clearly buffered the noise of the roads.
