Ultimate Arizona mountain experience awaits you in the quiet, cool pines of Payson, Arizona. Whispering Elk Lodge, our 4 BR, 2 BA home, is only 90 minutes from the greater Phoenix area. Bring your binoculars and camera! Our home has green space on two sides pus a large deck, making it ideal for spotting birds, elk and other wildlife. The home overlooks Green Valley Park in the town of Payson, giving you ringside seats for exciting events such as the 4th of July fireworks as well as stunning sunrises, sunsets and star gazing. Mogollon Rim is only 30 miles from Payson and offers breathtaking scenery as well as horseback and hiking/biking trails, lakes for boating and fishing, and back country skiing during the winter months. This home is not appropriate for those wishing to hunt.

Green Valley Park is a 45 acre recreational area with large expanses of grass for picnics, a well stocked lake for fishing and non-gas powered boats, hiking and biking trails, a summer concert series and Zane Grey's historic cabin. Wading birds and water fowl are frequent visitors at the park's lake. The town of Payson is a short walk from home and also offers choice restaurants, shopping and leisure walking.

~ CLASSIC COMFORT & VIEWS ~
Magnificent home features an upstairs open floor plan that includes a charming and comfortable great room with a propane fireplace that may be used November through March. The smart TV has competition from the stellar views of Mogollon Rim and the exquisite sunsets. The kitchen is fully stocked and has bar seating plus there is a dining area with table seating where you can admire the breathtaking views while eating. Both Keurig and drip coffee makers are supplied. Wifi is complimentary.

The great room, kitchen, 3 bedrooms and deck are upstairs on the home's main floor. There are both inside and outside steps to access the home's main floor. There are 11 outside concrete steps that connect the driveway to the landing with the grill. There are 9 additional outside steps from the landing with the grill to the front door on the deck. The elevator in the home does not work.

The beautiful covered deck with east and north views of the Mogollon Rim will be one of your favorite spots. Observe hundreds of bats night hunt over the lake in Green Valley Park or have fun identifying constellations in our star-studded skies. Dine outdoors and use the gas grill to make your favorite barbecued food. Due to fire safety codes, the gas grill is now located 9 steps down from the deck.

A washer and dryer on the main floor make laundry tasks easy. Garage space is available for 2 vehicles and there are driveway spaces for 2 more vehicles. Highchairs and Pack 'N Plays are available to rent.

~ PEACEFUL DREAMS in PAYSON ~
The primary bedroom is upstairs on the main floor and has a king bed and large smart television plus balcony access to enjoy the stellar views. The primary bath features a walk-in shower, dual vanity sinks and a bidet. A walk-in closet adjoining the primary bath has room for your wardrobe and personal accessories. A hair dryer and soap are stocked.

Two other bedrooms upstairs on the main floor have king beds and televisions and share Bathroom 2 which features a tub-shower combination. The fourth bedroom is on the ground floor and has 2 twin beds, TV and desk w/chair for your remote work. Guests who sleep here would need to go upstairs to use Bathroom 2 on the main floor.

~ EMBRACE ACTIVE LIVING ~
Two bikes, fishing gear and two kayaks with accessories are supplied for guests. Walk down the hill to Green Valley Park to search for wildlife, kayak in the lake or cast for fish. Biking/hiking trails are a short jaunt and offer opportunities to glimpse or photograph wildlife and spectacular outdoor scenery. Golf and rafting are a short drive from the home.

Whispering Elk Lodge offers families the perfect mountain experience with many conveniences and recreational activities within walking distance. Our spectacular mountain setting is the place for YOU to be! Ask about early check-in and late check-out which may be options.

~ RESERVATION NOTES ~
The minimum age to rent is 28 years.

We are family friendly; any exceptions to this must be approved prior to confirmation of the reservation.

The names of all guests staying overnight at the property must be included on the Rental Agreement's guest list.

Written approval is required to exceed the standard occupancy of 8 for this home. Unless Arizona Vacation Home Rentals has granted permission to exceed the standard occupancy number, Guest agrees to limit guests, including infants and children, to standard occupancy of eight (8).

The number of people must be appropriate for the number of beds. If deemed necessary, Arizona Vacation Home Rentals reserves the right to approve the reservation based on sleeping arrangements.

Daytime visitors to home may not exceed two (2) people to include adults, infants and children unless prior permission is granted by Arizona Vacation Home Rentals.

Absolutely NO parties, gatherings or events of any size permitted. The owner lives nearby and monitors the property.

AZ Vacation Home Rentals reserves the right to require a refundable security deposit.

No pets are allowed inside or outside the home. The owners and some guests have severe allergies and the home must remain pet free.

Violation of any house rule may result in termination of the rental contract, eviction and Guest will forfeit all monies paid, including rent, cleaning and deposits.

All TVs are for streaming and not satellite or cable serviced.
