When we tried to check in the hotel owner wanted us to cancel the reservation to get the money refunded, and pay in cash instead. He claimed he never got payed by hotels.com or its affiliated sites. It was very uncomfortable and we felt very pressured in the moment. - when we stayed firm on that ether we stay with the original payment via hotels.com or we find suitable accommodation elsewhere his attitude changed and he would “let us stay the night and figure it out the next day.” After getting to our room we contacted hotels.com support who contacted the hotel directly to fix the “accounting issue”. We never heard from the hotel owner for the reminder of the stay, and checked out with no hassle. the hotel itself is quite central, not too far walk from king street. The rooms were clean and the standard was all right. There were some small issues here and there that needed maintenance like a bathroom fan that made a very unpleasant screaming noise when on. The tv only had Hungarian channels.

Réception soit disant ouverte jusqu'à 20h mais fermée à notre arrivée à 19h55. Personne ne répondait aux 2 numéros de téléphones affichés sur la porte. Nous avons réussi à entrer dans l'hôtel grâce à des hôtes et trouvé notre clef posée sur la banque d'accueil. L'un des 2 lits de la twin était dépourvu de draps et la housse de matelas était tachée de sang. Le robinet du lavabo était très difficile à manipuler et fuyait. Pas de savon ni shampoing à disposition dans la salle de bain. Nous avons attendu la réceptionniste près de deux heures le lendemain matin. Nous avons obtenu (péniblement) de changer de chambre. La moquette n'avait pas été nettoyée (ni avant, ni pendant notre séjour). Le rideau de la baignoire menaçait de tomber. Le robinet était en piteux état également. Les toilettes étaient bancales. Un reste de bouteille était oublié sur la table de chambre... non nettoyée par le personnel de ménage. Le mur de la salle de bain (près du lavabo) montrait plusieurs traces de dentifrice/savon (pas de nettoyage depuis un certain temps) et le mobilier gonflé par l'humidité. Les serviettes blanches sont élimées et certaines tachées. Le départ à été compliqué : nous avions payé sur Hotels.com lors de la réservation mais l'hôtel voulait nous faire payer une 2ème fois et nous proposait de demander le remboursement à Hotels.com. Nous avons du faire intervenir la police. En bref : hôtel laissé à l'abandon et l'honnêteté n'est pas leur fort. A fuir. 3 étoiles ? 1 max.

Poor air conditioning
Don’t go if it’s warm because the air conditioner is very poor. Also things were falling apart in the room, like the shower head, toilet and lights. The guy working there was friendly though. Overall definitely not a 3 star hotel, more like 1 or 2.
