The location is ideal - winter or summer. However, the cabin was ice cold when we checked in. The gas fireplace was insufficient to adequately warm the living space; that is, we had the thermostat cranked to 85, but the interior temp never rose above 65. We had to borrow blankets and space heater from our daughter who had a full house on the Peninsula. We also discovered one window open about 1/2”, which obviously created inefficiency. There was a live spider and web in the Keurig water reservoir for the coffee maker. When we stripped the bedsheets before checking out, we discovered a filthy mattress pad.Last, but not least, the day we drove in, we were met by a gentleman walking down the hill from the market. He didn’t identify himself, but he DID tell us what the “unlock code” was - which created a safety issue for us - for what was to stop anyone from entering the cabin in our absence? I learned later that it was the onsite manager, but the dude could have introduced himself. The value for the amount paid was not what we expected.
