Rushden Lakes, a 30-minute drive away, offers retail, entertainment and eating options all set around the Nene Wetlands conservation area. A 20-minute drive to Burghley House and Park has a children’s play area, Rutland Water has good leisure activities, from a waterside stroll, learning to sail, windsurf, or hire a bike and cycle around the reservoir, stopping for a picnic.
