Westwind is located in beautiful natural environment in the woods and by the water. Sport equipments is available such as boats, bicycles and the modest version of the golf range. Gardens are beautifully arranged and the native canadian plants such as trillium were blooming. Looking forward to enjoy this quite place again.
The staff was great overall but the property could definitely use some upgrades... they have a beautiful spot but it’s stuck back in time.. they can still achieve rustic cottage and give you that lodge feeling... but things are outdated to a fault.. the food could be much better and our room was not clean.. in the time of covid I would expect more.. but we had a dirty washcloth and a water bottle under our bed when we arrived and that was with an upgraded room.. which makes you question the overall cleanliness... and we feel the food should have been included in our $500/night room cost as it wasn’t a fine dining experience at all.. and there was a big patio over looking the water that had old crap furniture and wasn’t open for dining... it would have made the ambience better if they maximized that space...we had a nice stay for the most part and made the best of it, which is easy to do, there’s activities in the day and it’s quiet at night so great for a peaceful retreat, but it would benefit from some room and dining upgrades.

The out door areas were lovely. The displays of antiques and general decor were amazing. The one thing in our room that was questionable was the retro (vintage 1984) television. The meals were superb. The handling of the COVID 19 requirements were well done.
Was originally booked for the Monday and it was calling for rain all day. Inga emailed and offered to change the reservation to the next day. This was an amazing gesture and it was greatly appreciated. Had lots of fun
Property is wooded and well kept. We enjoyed the walking through the woods and nearby area. Lots of areas to sit and reflect. Food was absolutely excellent. You will not go hungry here! Kevin, you did an amazing jog, thank you!
The natural beauty of the area and the country setting was carried into the hotel. The staff were attentive courteous and polite. They always carried a smile and we're eager to ensure that you had everything you needed and that you were comfortable. The food was fresh and The Taste was excellent. We are already planning our next visit. Each season offers something different to the visitors of Westwind Inn. Peaceful and Serene I came home feeling refreshed
It’s a cozy quiet place with a great view. The staff turned on our room fireplace place so it would be warm and cozy once we checked in which was thoughtful. We will definitely plan another trip here.

Beautiful surroundings and interior.
In the room the mattress was very uncomfortable and the balcony needed a good cleaning.
Staff were pleasant.

it has been the 5th or 6th time I spent a few days with my husband at the Inn - with 10 years between the last 2x. And it changed only a bit in those 10 years. Something to the better, most not. About 15, 16 years ago it has been an fab. Inn with amazing food delivered by a very talented lady chef. The gardens were beautiful and hammocks and resting places everywhere. Even gas powered mosquitos traps hidden to deep those pesky bug at bay. The tables had cloth coverings and menu a 6 course dinner. Over the years it went quite down hill: the gardens were neglected, the traps disappeared and so did opulent menu (still very delicious). I came back because of the stunning setting of the Inn. We had a renovated room which actually look the same except the worn carpet was gone. The rooms are small but sufficient, the interior is supposed to look like it would in the bygone old cabin era. Our bathroom was tired but surprisingly roomy, but worn. And I could say 'Hello' to the very old TV about that 10 years ago people complained. It's a fine line between 'shabby chic' and shabby.
Hotel is tired. Staff were lovely but clearly overwhelmed or undertrained. Checkout staff was very rude to a coworker which is a real turnoff. Food was excellent and portions were huge.
Restaurant was not open the second day of our stay with no alternative other than having to go out to town, parking was not motorcycle friendly I found the hotel to be way over priced and misleading in the advertising and the staff was not very helpful, I would not go back
