This three bedroom, two bath, two story unit sleeps six easily, but also serves as a romantic getaway for two. The master bedroom has a sliding glass door opening onto a private balcony overlooking Crooked Lake, just a few feet away. When the weather cooperates, leave the door cracked open and hear the waves lapping on the shore as you fall asleep. If you are very lucky, you will hear a loon call after midnight. The other two bedrooms do not have lake views.
All sleeping is on the second floor, accessible by a normal staircase. The unit includes a washer and dryer, and a modern kitchen with refrigerator-freezer, gas stove, microwave, dishwasher, toaster and coffee maker, as well as all necessary plates, utensils and cookware. The kitchen table seats six. The cozy living room has a gas log fireplace, TV with streaming video service, and a view of the lake. The downstairs brick patio is shaded from the sun with ample comfortable seating for watching the boats, kids and ducks.
The use of three kayaks (two singles and one double) is included. The unit is two blocks from the Little Traverse Wheelway, which is a paved biking/hiking path running through the woods and by the lakes between Alanson and Charlevoix. If you bring your bikes, they can be stored in our garage. If you don't bring your bikes, the use of three bicycles is included. Free outside parking for one car is provided.
We are perfectly located 10 to 15 minutes from Harbor Springs, Bay View, Petoskey and Little Traverse Bay, with all they have to offer in the summer. Crooked Lake is part of the Inland Waterway, connecting to Lake Huron. The rules of our five-unit condo Association include quiet hours and no smoking of any kind. Nothing is more relaxing and restorative than sitting by the water in northern Michigan.
All rentals are for a minimum of 7 days, and that is a condo board rule that cannot be adjusted. Departure dates are typically on Saturdays, but not always, and we will work with you if you require a non-Saturday departure date.
