Terrific Family Getaway on Lake Charleviox with Stunning Views

Location: Lake Charlevoix, Northwest, Michigan, USA

Accommodations:
Cottage, 5 bedrooms, 3 baths (sleeps 10). To sleep 12, will need to use big couches or air mattresses that are available for a couple of people.
The cottage is located on beautiful Lake Charlevoix with great views for leisurely morning coffee on the deck and awesome sunsets down by the water. The lake is gorgeous with a sandy bottom, beaches for swimming and great water for all sports.

There is a boat hoist that can accommodate a typical speed boat with a v hull and up to about 24 feet and an 8 foot beam with a maximum weight of 4000 pounds. Additionally there is a mooring buoy for pontoon and tritoon style boats . Use will require walking floating or swimming out to mooring buoy for usage at this point.

The cottage sits down a private drive with only two other homes down the driveway lending to a very quiet and secluded atmosphere. Enjoy sunrise and sunsets from the beautiful deck. There is a large grassy yard to play all sorts of outdoor activities. The deck has a gas grill. The yard also has a fire pit for a evening campfire by the water.
Spacious kitchen with all the amenities. Two refrigerators and large separate freezer to accommodate all the food and drinks for large groups. Large vaulted ceiling family room with a great view of Lake Charleviox. The family room has a wood burning stone fireplace, 52 inch flat screen TV with blu ray player, very comfortable couches and two sitting chairs. Master suite with a king size bed, a view from the bed that you have to see to believe and an attached master bath with double shower heads. There are TV's in the master and another bedroom as well. There is a crib located in the master bedroon and an adjoining sunroom with a futon that can sleep two guests. Double doors can be closed for privacy.
Off the kitchen is a full bath attached to the laundry room with washer and dryer.
Through the living room at the other end of home are three bedrooms, one with bunk beds, second bedroom with double bed and third bedroom with a queen size bed with walkout to the deck an attached full bath with Jacuzzi tub. This bathroom allows external access for the other bedroom guests.
The cottage is located about 3 miles from the Ironton Ferry. Charlevoix, East Jordan, Petoskey and Harbor Springs are all just a short drive or better yet, a boat ride away!
Whiting Park is about 2 miles away which has a very nice public beach, along with swing sets, grills and pavilions. Goif courses are abundant including one about a mile from the cottage with great views of the lake.
Enjoy Water sports, golfing, biking, hiking or just plain relaxing.
Like lots of snow? Boyne Mountain Resort, Boyne Highlands, and Nubs Knob are near by for winter sports enthusiasts.
An awesome location for about any kind of vacation on a beautiful lake surrounded with quaint little towns with lots of cool shops and restaurants!

Amazing Place to stay!
Our Family loved this place so much. House had everything we needed. And spotlessly clean. We had room to spread out and room to be together. We loved floating off the dock, we brought our paddle boards and were able to hop on off the dock. The area has plenty of things to do , many great places to golf, play tennis and pickleball.

House was amazing and beautiful. Perfect for family for daughters wedding at castle farms. We were unable to use grill burners were not working, and stove didn’t get past low heat to cook food. But rooms were amazing, view spectacular and neighbors friendly and sweet. We made non fire next to lake was very relaxing. We will def be renting next summer so can enjoy lake more. Thank you so much other than cooking issues we loved it. Rebecca

Wonderful vacation!
Perfect vacation. We had 5 adults and 5 children ages 1-11. Plenty of room. Kids loved the trampoline. Plenty of toys, books, legos,puzzles, coloring books and crayons for them. Games and books for adults. Plenty of sheets, towels and beach towels. Also had use of their kayak. Very clean. Kids loved playing in the sand. Water was to deep for younger ones, but I brought a inflatable pool, so they didn't mind. Definitly would stay here again.

A Great House and a Great Time
I rented this house for a group of friends to celebrate a milestone birthday. It was perfect for us. We loved that it was right on the lake. We really enjoyed the campfires we had. The location was convenient for visiting Petoskey and Charlevoix. There was a minor issue but Duane was prompt in responding and very helpful. If we decide to do another girls' weekend, we will definitely look into staying at this house again!

my family and I had an amazing time at your home, everything was perfect
we celebrated my nieces wedding there she was married at Castle Farms which by Ferry was only minutes away your place made our visit extra special we hosted a dinner party on Saturday for family and the place was absolutely perfect for us all the photos' don't do it justice the view was just beautiful , I enjoyed my coffee on the deck every moring i was there and just soaked in the view

There is no ice maker. A courtesy would be a bag of ice in the freezer so we can start our vacation without traveling to the store. The washer takes forever to complete a load. There was a note that the knob to start the machine was broken but easy to move without it. We had a terrible time getting it to run!! Needs to be fixed!!

The home was beautiful and the location was perfect! We had everything we needed. The kitchen had everything plus two fridges and two freezers! With a large group that came in VERY handy. We brought two boats and between the hoist and the mooring, it was a perfect setup! Our favorite VRBO to date!

Great property!
Spacious home with beautiful views. Room enough for our party of five guys to gather together or get away from each other if needed! Kitchen is well stocked with everything you need to prepare meals. Beds were comfortable. Only negative is shower in MB would shut off randomly. Easily fixed by turning the faucet off and back on, but a little annoying. Communication with the owners was great! Planning on renting again next year.

A fall favorite
My family and I loved everything about this house. The fall foliage on the drive up and in the area was breathtaking. Lake Charlevoix is visible from almost everywhere inside and is exceptionally beautiful in autumn colors. Even though it was raining, pretty much all weekend, we had an amazing time just sitting together in the family room around the fireplace and playing games. The house is equipped with everything you could need and Duane and Jennifer are excellent hosts. They were very accommodating and quick to answer every question I had. I would definitely stay here again.

I’d recommend this home and was surprised at the 5th bedroom which was perfect for my daughters.
My only negative is that the deposit is not fully refundable and includes a large portion for a mandatory cleaning fee. I should have read the agreement closer as I’ve never had a cleaning fee charged through a deposit.
