Went to check in At 420pm. Only 1 of the 2 rooms reserved was ready and no ETA when the other room would be ready. Asked for some sort of compensation, like the $45 parking fee. Lee M. Supervisor said she couldn’t only her general manager could and she wouldn’t be back until Monday. On Friday at 1043 am I requested for rooms to be located near each other and the young lady told me she set it up. However at check in I was told the rooms were on different floors. I went back and forth with her respectfully for 10 minutes as I felt she was being dismissive. We had arrived from Va with my 80 year old mom in tow. Tired and needed to be at an event by 6. That did not happen thanks to Homewood Suites staff. I requested a refund and again was told she could not. Then after requesting to speak with her superior several more times Lee M gave me a refund. Inconsiderate staff even though they were the cause of inconvenience, at 435, I was told room was still not ready and they still didn’t have an ETA

I booked a room online on Saturday to attend a funeral being held on Friday. Our stay was scheduled to start Thursday and check out Friday. Online it stated I wouldn't be charged until check in and gave me a conformation for my room. On Tuesday I received an email stating my stay wasn't guaranteed now without payment DESPITE everything listed on their website in multiple places. I reached out to the hotel and they said what I saw online was no longer valid despite me reading VERBATIM what was still in front of my face and they now needed FULL payment to reserve my room. I told them I wasn't comfortable paying in full without having actually stayed yet and offered to pay partial, after quit a few "let me place you on hold"s they said a partial payment was fine. Wednesday I get an alert that they were trying to charge two separate cards WITHOUT my approval for the remainder amount owed, luckily I lock my card just incase of situations like this. I reached out to them AGAIN and now they're telling me they once again need full payment to hold my room, I reminded them of the partial payment agreement and they said it was no longer valid ONCE AGAIN. After they realized I was NOT going to cave, they then said the partial I already paid was actually fine. Once we arrived (at 1:15 AM Friday morning) we were told we could only valet park, which was $45 for 24 hours. Given that we arrived at 1:15 AM Friday that would have us in the clear until 1:15 AM the next day, because thats how 24

The property was dirty and the staff was extremely rude. I originally booked through Expedia when I got there they told me my reservation had been cancelled I never received any email or notification saying that my reservation was cancelled. Then I asked to book a room in person and the price was $60 more than my booking on Expedia. Then the girl charged my card twice and when I told her she double charged she gave such an attitude saying she didn’t do that maybe it was the charge from Expedia but I used a complete different card so when I told her that she said my bank must have double charged me. It was a horrible experience from the beginning, and my room was dirty.

Will not stay again.
Room smelled. Moved to a new room. Also smelled. Dirty carpets had not been vacuumed in ages, rips in the rugs, food sprayed on walls and ceiling, room not equipped at all. Ice maker not working. Shower knob not working. Altogether a terrible disappointment. Breakfast food was old and stale.

Great customer service the whole time!!! They even opened the breakfast area so we could try to see the fireworks!! Great location. We walked from Amtrak station. The pool had a crying screaming toddler for almost 30min till we walked out, thats just bad fellow guests. The pool didn't look the cleanest, let the kids play but i stayed out. The room was great for family of 4! Almost full size fridge was great, and utensils, saved us! The pull out sofa had some sort of big stain that looked like a bad clean up job of blood or poop! Again amazing customer service and nicest staff!!!

I had an excellent stay at the Homewood Suites by Hilton University City! The location is incredibly convenient, especially if you’re visiting Penn or Drexel, with plenty of shops, restaurants, and attractions nearby. The suites were spacious, modern, and impeccably clean, making it feel like a home away from home. The kitchen area was fully equipped, which was perfect for preparing meals, and the bed was exceptionally comfortable. The staff was friendly, professional, and went above and beyond to ensure my stay was comfortable. The on-site amenities, including the fitness center and pool, were well-maintained and added to the overall experience.

Checkin was a breeze, as always. Only issue was hot tub was broken (whole reason for staying at this particular hotel). Other than the hot tub issues everything was exactly as expected and quite nice.

Very disappointed that the indoor pool water was very cold so we could not enjoy it, the hot tub was not working or available. The toilet seat in the bathroom was covered in cleaning solution so I had to rinse and wipe it off. There was hair in the shower and bathroom floor. The breakfast options were not good and nothing was gluten free so I couldn't eat anything. For the price that I had to pay to stay at a Hilton, I expected better.
