Hard to know what to start with… we arrived for a late check in (1am). We tried calling 5 times to let them know and no answer, no voicemail option. Lots of other families also checking in late. Computer was down and we had to wait 30 min to find out what room was available. The room they gave us was DIRTY: floors not vacuumed, hair and dried toothpaste in the bathroom sink, hair on the bathroom floor, linens on one of the beds was dirty. The following morning we asked to have our room fully cleaned and new linens while we spent the day out. We got back at 9pm to the same dirty room. We asked for another room… they willingly moved us. The actual room was cleaner but the bathroom had definitely not been cleaned. Almost no toilet paper and no replacement roll, clumps of hair on the floor and in the shower. The final straw was the previous occupant had removed her huge false eyelashes while in the shower a they were still there. Breakfast is included, but it’s a sloppy mess and in the words of the kitchen staff when my husband asked for plates, “I guess you have to use a bowl, maybe we should get around to ordering plates.” Had to ask for the napkins & yogurt to be replenished. I spoke with the head of housekeeping about our room and she walked away from me while I was talking. The overflowing trash bins from breakfast were still overflowing at 9 pm. No one bothered to empty them. Honestly… disgusting & worst hotel we’ve stayed in ages. So dirty!

At check in my room was cold, the climate control was not working. In the closet were rolled, soiled underwear. I returned to the front desk and asked for another room. I was given another. That room was cleaner, although later in the night I noticed a soiled towel hanging on the back of the bathroom door. At midnight, there were loud hydrolic sounds outside the hotel. That went on for almost two hours, making sleep difficult.

Over the course of our trip the maids never cleaned our room, we requested clean towels from the maid and was told no, asked for the shower gels to be filled, they were empty, it never happened, had to repeatedly ask for toilet paper as very little was in the room. Hotel stayed on line they had room service and restaurant and they did not. Very unprofessional

Overall was good except the way they handled overbooked rooms - they can guarantee same space but can’t guarantee same beds even though we paid in full and reserved the room ahead of time. No partial refund allowed due to hotel policy since we already checked in.

This property did NOT meet standards of Hyatt Place at all. The carpet was filthy, as soon as we walked in the room there was a very strong, foul odor in the room smelled like dirty animals, my husband went to talk to the guy at the front desk and was told that there were no room to switch to, gave him Lysol to spray in room, my husband sprayed heavyily and the smell was better; customer service was horrible, no greeting upon entering the hotel by either men at the front desk, no information about pool hours, breakfast hours, etc; refrigerator did not work at all, my husband noticed it was not plugged in, after plugging it in the fridge still did not work, no pull out sofa, no extra sheets/blanket in room, called front desk no one answered for 35/40 mins after calling several times back to back, the guy said he’d bring blanket and never did, breakfast was HORRIBLE, no eggs at 9:00, sausage looked like rubber, I left and purchased my own breakfast. The guy at the front desk was not friendly at all to customers, had an attitude when I asked for a blanket saying didn’t you just call for a blanket. There was a bug in the room, a spider or something crawling on the floor. This was just a horrible experience, luckily it was for one nite. Never again will I stay at this Hyatt Place ever. I’m appalled at how much of a difference this was compared to the Hyatt in Mississippi. I felt like I stayed at a dirty, low budget hotel.
