The grounds were being improved and looked very nice since our last visit in 2018. The room however looked like it had not been updated. Dirty bedspread. Broken bathroom door, cabinet door on wetbar. Smelled very musty and old. Stained carpet. Asked for another room and was told no. They were booked. Housekeeping changed bedsheets. Engineering fixed bathroom door. We bought air freshener to be able to tolerate the smell. Not horrible but certainly not what we wanted or expected. Staff was not very nice about trying to accommodate us or apologizing.

Family weekend for Christmas activities around Scottsdale- Embassy Suites was decorated for the holidays and the service and accommodations were wonderful!

Never going back
First night was noisy and no heating. I asked for a different room and was told it was fully booked. Not true as there were many empty rooms by me that i could see through the entrance windows. I switched room the following day and the heating wouldn’t work. Call maintenance, super nice guy came twice and try to fix it but nothing. Mold in the vents and the bathroom, horrible condition. Hair everywhere, obviously not well cleaned. Never going back. Maintenance guy and Sylvia at reception were the only good thing about the property.

Great Amenities
This place has the amenities you want. Free cooked breakfast and parking. It has a daily free happy hour never seen anywhere else. A nice pool and large fitness center. Its location is near all the great Scottsdale restaurants. What else could you ask for

I wouldn’t stay here again. Checkin was a bit of a wait; th ere were only two staff members checking folks in and lobby was full. The property was sprawling, with my room a five minute walk from main reception. booked a one-bedroom suite. Upon entering the room, I was hit strong musty smell from the carpeting and could barely sleep even with having all balcony doors open. The room was dated, there was hair in the shower. Breakfast was good.

Do not stay here! Dirty!
The hotel was extremely dirty on the stairwell and walkway to the room. The room was renovated but still had a smell to it that reeked of old cigarettes. I got up in the middle of the night and a cockroach was perched on the toilet. When I che led out at 6 am, the clerk never asked me how my stay was. This was an aweful experience.

Loved our stay there! We were welcomed with lots of amenities and surprises that we didn't even know existed. (free happy hour - and fantastic breakfast) We will definitely stay there again - we have already recommended it to our friends.

Where do I start. My heater was broken for two days. When I asked them to fix it they lied and said the engineer was right in front of them and was walking my way. After several calls and nearly an hour later, an engineer showed up. While he was there they tried to radio to him a cover story on why he was late. I could hear it. The engineer was mortified. But also, the something broke in or above my room that sounded like a B17 bomber was in the room. The whole room shook. I have a recording of it. It’s horrible. I thought the room was going to explode. Of course, the restaurant was locked during its dinner hours. We all waited outside, while someone showed up 15 minutes late with no sense of urgency. When I brought this up to the manager (well first I had to wait at the unmanned front desk) she had little concern, cut me off and said there is nothing they can do except shop me across town. Don’t go here. Or do if you want. The management and staff won’t care either way.
