The location is a 45 minute boat ride from crazy Phuket (or Krabi) and once you arrive you have officially left the bustle of the world. We entered deep relaxation here while hanging out in the private "relaxation hut." James, the host, made our stay personalized and exceptional. For example, one day we expressed interest in kayaking to a small isolated island one mile away. A couple hours later there was a kayak on the beach, a lunch packed in waterproof containers, and bottles of water waiting for our adventure. Another day he helped us get some bikes and we rode casually around the entire island.
The restaurant at the resort is fantastic -- everything we ate was fresh (we even saw a cook run out of the kitchen, knock a papaya down from a tree, and run back to the kitchen) and expertly prepared.
The room was immaculate -- like nowhere I have ever stayed before. It was on the one hand connected to the surrounding jungle via open walls and the lack of windows (wooden slats only). On the other hand, it was luxurious and comfortable. We basically put on our swim suits when we arrived, and only changed back into normal clothes when it was time to leave.
Staying here was the absolute highlight of our Thailand trip. After tons of awesome touring, we were so happy to end our trip here.
