Are they trying to chase customers away?
I’ve stayed at the Ramona on trips through South Dakota for 22 years because I travel with my dog. Since my las stay they’ve moved the rooms for people with dogs to the very furthest point away from the grassy area to walk them. I arrived late but in the wee hours of the morning following an 11 hour drive and had to argue with management to be allowed to check-in befor 3pm, even though I was already being charged. The room was in horrible condition, filthy and torn carpet, broken outdoor doorway seal that fell and flapped every time I opened and closed the door. Hopefully I will never stay there again.

Staff were super friendly, the room we were in was not a handicap room but was big enough where a manual wheelchair can get through the room and to the beds and up to the sink.

The pool was warm and large. This is not your average hotel and it is unique in a good way. There is space to roam throughout the facility with the large pool and sitting rooms. Some guest rooms are accessible directly from the parking lot and some accessible through an indoor hallway. Our room had two exit doors. One to the hallway and one that went to the pool, which was nice for the kids.

Check in was average. Rooms were clean and there was a hand written note from housekeeping. Our room had water damage on the ceiling and wall. The room was super quiet even though we stayed poolside. Pool was clean. Bed was pretty uncomfortable but they have signs up that they are remodeling. Hopefully this will fix the issues.

A good hotel for the money.
It is an older property that's still in great shape. Our room has a hall entrance and also a lobby entrance. We didn't have time to use it, but the e exercise room was decent. It had weights, in addition to some equipment. It had a full service restaurant. Also you could go to the lobby and get coffee whenever you want.

Tried giving us a room on 2nd floor, glad i could point out notes, "Elder in scooter, Cancer patient in wheelchair" we got a cool room with 2 doors.... and we could park right outside door..
