Newly updated cabin under the tall pines 🌲 Uncle Buck’s Cabin 🦌

This newly remodeled 3 bedroom, 2 bath cabin sleeps up to 7 people and is nestled under tall pine trees providing a serene, private, relaxing place to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city and where it’s typically 20+ degrees cooler than Phoenix. Relax on the large wrap around porch with comfy rocking chairs and an outdoor table for 6 or hang out on the back covered porch where you’ll find a patio set overlooking the fire pit which also seats 4-6 people.

Your family will enjoy the side deck with additional outdoor seating twinkling lights overhead and an electronic dart board. Cook dinner on the propane bbq grill and play a game of horseshoes. The kids will love the swing set built into the tall pines too!

Inside you’ll find a well stocked kitchen with brand new appliances and all the pots, pans, dinnerware, etc to create basic meals or the most extravagant dinners. A Keurig, toaster oven, Vita-mix blender and crock pot are also available. Newer appliances include an electric stove/oven, microwave, dishwasher and refrigerator with ice and water dispensers. Enjoy your meals at the dining room table that seats 6.

Sit by the propane fireplace that turns on and off with the click of a switch in the sitting area. You can still watch all of your favorite tv shows on the new 55” tv with YouTube tv and other free tv apps available via Roku while lounging on the comfy, reclining sofa and loveseat.

The master bedroom has a king bed with a new mattress and gel pad, full closet, tv and en-suite bathroom. The second bedroom has a queen bed with new mattress and gel topper as well as a closet and tv. The third bedroom has a bunk bed with a full size mattress, a twin up top and twin trundle underneath. All have new mattresses. A closet and TV are in this room as well.

Strawberry is a tiny town just north of Pine. Nearby you’ll find lots of hiking trails, off road trails, lakes and plenty of super cute restaurants and shops. There is a small grocery store in Pine for all the basics or head 20 minutes into Payson for the big box stores. Within walking distance from the cabin you’ll find the Windmill coffee shop, the Pie Bar, Mama Joe’s Italian restaurant and a couple other restaurants to check out.

While we love all the dogs, in order to keep the cabin extra clean, we do not allow pets. That said, dogs were allowed in the past so it’s not 100% allergy free in case that’s an issue.
*Gila County STR ordinance allows us to accommodate up to 7 total guests. Overnight guests beyond 7 will result in a $500/night fee and they will be required to vacate the premise immediately.

Note that we have an electronic keypad and will provide you with your own code to used for the duration of your stay. Come and go as you please without the worry of carrying a key. We also utilize a Ring doorbell and an outdoor camera facing the front yard for security purposes.

Great cabin close to everything
My friends & I booked a trip to Strawberry to escape the heat. We chose this cabin based on its walking distance proximity to restaurants and that the cabin itself was updated & on a nice sized lot surrounded by pines. The amenities were spot on, we enjoyed relaxing in the hammocks, playing darts and horseshoes and relaxing on the patio in the mornings. In the evening we had 2 herds of elk roam through the property as well as some coyotes. We’ll definitely book this cabin again!

We had a beautiful time! The cabin exceeded our expectations and is just amazing outside as it is inside! High quality appliances, all the kitchen, bath, home supplies you would need. Everything was clean with the sweetest touches of strawberry decor scattered throughout the home! The outdoor area offered multiple places to relax or dine, play and explore! Heather was amazing with communication and we loved the extra brochures, maps, bird guide, etc that were on hand! Thank you for a home away from home and for the lovely welcome gift! Perfect getaway cabin.
This cabin is just beautiful and the location is perfect. Nestled in the trees, the outdoor area allows for relaxation in the trees. The cabin itself is beautifully decorated and super clean. Walking distance to the Pie Bar is an extra benefit!

Lovely cozy cabin!! Can't wait to go back!
We loved our stay at Uncle Buck's cabin! Heather was a delight and checked in with us shortly after we arrived just to make sure everything was ok and if we needed anything. The cabin is beautiful inside and out. Heather has truly thought of every detail to make this such a warm and cozy place to stay! Loved the reclining couches in the living room, the cozy fireplaces (one electric, one gas). The kitchen is stocked with every plate, cup, pot, pan, utensil and amenity you may need. We didn't get to use the outdoor spaces too much because of the snow on the ground, but we'd love to go back during the summer and take advantage of the outdoor firepit and dart board! Thank you again Heather!

Beautiful Cabin
WE loved our stay in Strawberry. This cabin was perfect for us. There were trails for hikes, was able to walk to places to eat. The cabin was very clean, decorated for Christmas. It is well stocked with all of your kitchen needs. We also got some visitors, Elk, about 30 of them. They are used to humans so we had a couple come up to us and we were able to pet them. There is an cool dart board and little bar area outside, which we used daily. Fire pit on the patio as well. We did take our own propane fire pit so we wouldn't smell like fire. I would definitely recommend this place. Heather the owner/host was amazing and responded right away with any questions we had. We will for sure book this cabin again in the near future.

Absolutely loved!
My family and I stayed for a week for an elk hunt. We absolutely loved the cabin! We really enjoyed our stay! Very clean, comfortable and cozy! We enjoyed watching the elk in the backyard. Heather is a great host and responds quickly if you have questions. I highly recommend Uncle Bucks cabin and we will definitely be back.

Family friendly retreat
We had a lovely time with four kiddos 8, 8, 7, & 6! They played outside on the swings and explored in the woods all day long. While we rested in the porch keeping an eye but relaxing as well. The cabin has extra attention to quality! Sheets, towels, linens everything was soft and clean. Beds were very cozy. Every room has a tv and easy to use. We will be back! Heather was a great hostess and very communicative. Thank you for a lovely weekend!

The pictures of this property do not do it justice. The cabin was so nice and clean. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was fully stocked!! We couldn’t have picked a better place or location. The elk were out every evening grazing. At night we could hear them calling. The kids had plenty to do when we weren’t out hiking and enjoying the outdoors. We all had an amazing time and we can’t wait to get back there ASAP!!

Great place to stay!!
We recently stayed here to escape the heat from the valley. The house is immaculately clean and decorated very nicely. They had everything we needed and then some. We saw elk and deer right on the property and there is plenty of seating outside to enjoy the weather - any time of day. Checking in was a breeze the Heather checked in to be sure we were settled. I would highly recommend this place for families and friends. It was one of the best VRBO houses we have rented!

First visit to Strawberry and Uncle Buck’s Cabin but definitely not the last. We’ve stayed at several VRBO locations over the years, but this is the first time an owner has called us shortly after arrival to make sure check in went smoothly. Great gesture and totally appreciated! Cabin has all the comforts of home and is beautifully decorated. Daily elk sightings in the yard an added bonus!

Our family stayed here over the weekend and this cabin was hands down our favorite vrbo we have ever stayed in (and there have been many!) It was so pretty, cozy, and comfortable all in one. We did not lack anything here, everything we needed was supplied and then some. It was just like being home (only better ha). Our granddaughters enjoyed the play set out in the yard so much. And the location is unbeatable, your in the woods (with neighbors) but only minutes from all the businesses in Strawberry and Pine. Sooo convenient! We saw many Elk and deer which we thought was awesome! We have found our favorite and will only choose this one from now on! Loved it!! ❤️❤️❤️

Repeat visit and loved it again.
This is the second time staying at the property and this time we brought our dog since this is dog friendly. Heather was very attentive to all our needs and we had another great stay. Everything was perfectly clean and the property is very private from the neighbors and ample room to enjoy the outdoors as we escaped the 115 degree temps. Look forward to staying again in the future!

If I could give it 10 Stars I would!! This property had everything you could want including an outside dog pen and doggie door for our furbabies. The kitchen was stocked with all necessary cooking pans and utensils, open island, comfortable furniture with large screen tv. Not that you will use it when you see all the beautiful wildlife wandering right outside your window… Elk herds, javelina, squirrels, etc!! Plenty of wrap around porch to see all and RELAX. The beds/baths were newly remodeled, extremely comfy and each room had a tv. Truly a wonderful family time at this cabin. Heather was extremely responsive to all questions. Highly recommend. We will DEFINITELY be back!! LOVED our stay!!❤️👍

Awesome place to stay!
This property was so cozy and quiet. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Plenty of blankets to keep warm, and a fully stocked kitchen (even though we didn’t cook this time). The kids loved the swings out front, and we were even greeted by an elk as we were getting ready to leave. I would highly recommend this place! Heather was quick to respond to text messages and even checked in with us during our stay. We can’t wait to go back!
