Disappointed in Pisa
We stayed here for a week. The Hosts were excellent, friendly and willing to help, but the property left a lot to be desired. The neighborhood was fine and we felt safe. However, the exterior door to our apartment did not lock properly. I had to use a travel safety lock to keep the door from opening on its own. It was an issue when we left the apt. The gas stove was very hard to turn on. The refrigerator did not have a handle on it. There weren't enough coffee mugs (only 1 for 3 people). There were several small tea cups or espresso demi-tasses, but not suitable for an Americano. No kettle, so we had to boil our water in a pot on the stove. No sofa, or living room furniture. Either you sit on small, hard, kitchen chairs, or on your bed. The bathroom had issues as well. To sit on the toilet, we had to fit into a tight corner, and we needed to fit our knees under the pedestal sink. There was no shower curtain, often getting the floor wet. There weren't enough towel bars, only one small one for a hand towel. The bedroom had lots of drawer space, but not much closet space. The bed was lumpy, the sheets were threadbare, the pillows either less than 2 inches (4 cm) thick, or excessively thick and hard. We could not open windows because of the mosquitoes, even in late October. We were often awaken during the night to the hum of mosquitoes in our ears, and we were covered in bites after the first couple of days. The traffic noise was quite loud.

Beautiful Place with Wonderful Hosts
Me and my family absolutely loved our stay here. We couldn't have hoped for a better place as we settled ourselves into Pisa. This place is like having a 'real' home in a typical residential area of Pisa. If you're staying for more than a couple of days, I highly recommend this location as it is closer to the typical Pisan experience. In saying that, it is only a short walk to the tower, and the main downtown area (and only 30min walk to the train station). There's a pasticerria, cafe, pizzerias and supermarket close by. The place itself is very homely. It has everything you need, including good wifi. It also has tortoises in the garden! And a kitty. There is a small park over the road that was useful for our kids and dog. The best aspect of the place was the hosts. They are a beautiful older couple who were helpful, kind and thoughtful, and treat you like family as soon as you arrive.

Heat
Our stay was in July. It was record hot, and there are no air conditioners in the house. There were an awful lot of mosquitoes and no mosquito nets or other protection. There was no place on the children where they were not bitten.

Amazing place in Pisa with a full kitchen
We absolutely loved our stay in Pisa. The place had plenty of room including a very large kitchen with plenty of cooking utensils, pots, pans, and dishes. It is located in a fairly quiet residential neighborhood, but close enough to walk just about anywhere, including a nearby supermarket. The best part however was the hosts! They went above and beyond to make our stay perfect. They provided directions and had many maps and tour books in the home. They even gave us a ride to the airport. I highly recommend you book this place if it’s available!

We very much enjoyed going to Pisa and staying at Giuliano's apartment.
The Campioni couple were very gracious hosts in welcoming us to their house apartment when we arrived on February 1-2020. We found the apartment as we had expected from the several pictures available for the site. We settled very quickly and began exploring the city of Pisa and taking on the culture and restaurants. There was one hiccup in the apartment and that was a trickle of hot water in the bathroom and kitchen - however that was resolved fairly quickly (within days). In mid-February we explored some more of the lower Tuscany, Umbria and upper Lazio regions at the point where all three regions meet (as it were). The rest of February was consumed by visiting the many areas of Pisa and we took in 3 of their museums. THEN, the month of March came as did the Covid-19 virus and Italy as a whole soon became lockdown that forced us to limit our further perusal of Pisa and from March 11 onto the end of the month we were basically quarantined as were everyone else in Italy. Our hosts were most sympathetic of our plight and helped us throughout the ordeal in allowing us to have many of the "autodichiarazioni" printed that permitted us some freedom of movement in and around our neighbourhood that was very tranquil as the apartment was located in a very residential area. On our departure they invited us to come back to Pisa and spend a month as their guests, as gesture we much appreciated. It's possible we'll take them up on it. The immediate area of the house is well served by public transport; a supermarket COOP within 5 minutes walking; and most interesting an enoteca around the corner where you can buy excellent tuscan wines at every good prices; and several pizzeria/restaurants also within 5 minutes walking.

Great location
The apartment is in a great location 10/15 mins walk from the Tower of Pisa and 15/20 mins from airport with free on road parking. Basic apartment with no air-con which was unfortunate as we visited during a heat wave and only had two fans between four beds. Severe constant leak from the mixer tap in the bathroom also meant there was no hot water to have a warm shower, even in the heat the water was ice cold and made for a bad shower.

Great Hospitality in a Quiet Pisa Neighborhood
Our week long stay in a 4 room apartment was everything we had envisioned. Hosts Giuliani and his wife were very helpful with our 1st visit to Italy. We enjoyed a short walk to the Tower and all it had to offer and a convenient bus ride to the town of Lucca with help from Giuliani too. We took a train ride and spent the day at Cinco Terra which was another highlight. Th large veranda was perfect mornings and end of long days, and the price cannotbe beat!

Authentic Italian Experience
The location is perfect for touring the area. The neighborhood is very safe to walk and relatively quiet for Pisa which can be noisy if you stay anywhere next to the Tower or City Center. This home is in easy walking distance of everything Pisa has to offer, but out of the busy tourist section. The hosts were wonderful and the accommodation was comfortable and enjoyable. This home is typical of older Italian dwellings and was perfect for our 5 week stay. We especially enjoyed our breakfast in our own kitchen with the sun shining in from the balcony. The hosts were very eager to take care of anything we needed and went over and above to make our stay a good experience. The inside was perfectly clean and our bed was very comfortable with nice linen and comforters. If you want to experience real Italian living, then this would be your place. If you have never been to Italy before, then please do not come with pre-conceived notions of everything being perfect like you see in the travel brochures because nowhere is perfect and that is not how life is. Just enjoy the wonderful experience of a real Italian home with the best Italian couple you could ever ask for. We would definitely stay here again and are very happy to have had the opportunity to know them and enjoy their lovely home.

Fantastic!
Both Giuliano and his wife were very generous and helpful when introducing us to the house. They gave us a free lift from the airport and made sure we felt comfortable in the apartment. The area is not too far from the tower of pisa (approximately 15 minutes by walk) and the area is beautiful and quiet! I recommend coming here if you'd like to visit the beautiful city of Pisa anytime soon!

Lovely Italian Home
Really enjoyed our stay, our hosts although didn't speak much English were very helpful. The house is typical Italian and within good walking distance of both the town and large supermarket. Everything provided for a comfortable stay, would be improved if mozzie nets were added to the windows so you can leave them open at night to get some breeze through the place. Although the hosts did provide fans. Great base for touring the area, visits to Florence and Lucca a must. We plan on visiting again in the future. Enjoy your stay.

Nice House and very quiet.
The house was well equipped and clean. The owners were very nice . Furniture is a little bit old but all necessaries are there. Bathroom was clean too. Very close to Tower of Pisa. Just 12 minutes walking. Quiet area. Groceries and supermarkets are available within minutes walking. Loved this place.

Good Location in Pisa
The apartment is in a good location to the leaning tower and the historical center of Pisa...within walking distance. It is on a busy street and the traffic can be loud until late in the night. The owners are lovely and hospitable. The kitchen is well-equipped. There is no air conditioning or screens on the windows - however it seems that screens are not common in Italy. Also, there is no shower curtain so taking a shower can be tricky otherwise you get water all over the bathroom. Overall, this is a decent apartment in a good location.

Quiet and away from tourist
The property is very nice and everything you would need for your stay is provided. What we enjoyed the most is the fact that the home is located close enough to all attractions that you can easily walk to them but it is also far enough away that you are not bothered by the tourist traffic. The property is also close to a market (grocery store) and laundry mat which makes the stay more suitable. Mr Campioni and his wife live beneath the home on the ground floor and are very nice and will go out of their way to accommodate your needs. My family and I really enjoyed our stay and if we are ever in Pisa again we will stay here.

Relaxing and homely!
Our week at this lovely house about 15 mintes walk from Lucca, the walled city near Pisa, was just what we needed. It was part of the local neighbourhood, minutes walk from the local supermarket which was well stocked for everything we needed. Giulliano picked us up from the airport and we were welcomed by him and his wife when we arrived at our home for the week. The weather was amazing, hotter than we expected but the balcony gave us the outdoor space to sit and enjoy the beautiful blue sky. We lived on local bread, tomatoes, cheese and of course wine, everything tastes better in the warmth of the sun! The kitchen provided the other things we needed, it is well stocked with all of the pans, dishes, plates that you will need. The beds were comfortable and clean. There is a washing machine in a little place in the yard. A couple of cats came to say hello and left quickly, we spied a tortoise one day, followed closely by another, both heading for some shade maybe. So all in all this was a wonderful week, Pisa and the tower with surrounding cathedral and baptistry are stunning and Lucca is a lively town crammed with sunny piazzas, bars, pizzerias and lots of little alleyways to explore. We ventured to Florence on the train, an easy journey only €17 return but found it so busy that we were glad to return to Pisa. However, the visit to the Duomo and the Ponte Vechio were worth the trip. Thank you both for opening up your home for us to enjoy, we have made happy memories here.

Lovely hosts and well equiped flat in a gorgeous area
The hosts were very kind, friendly and helpful (although their English was somewhat limited they managed to order us a taxi and direct us to the nearest shop). The flat is spacious, all beds were comfy and the rooms were of good size, the balcony is big enough to accommodate for barbeques and dinner outside. The area is quiet residential, however still close to the city centre (only 10-15 mins walk from the leaning tower). It was an excellent value for money and I would recommend this flat to anyone visiting Pisa!
