The property is dated and lacked sufficient parking. Be prepared to walk up a flight of stairs with your bags to get to the floor that is not accessible by elevator. Bar staff were friendly. Room was not quite as pictured and the only ventilation was an old window as the bathroom fan didn't work.

In its hey day must have been regarded as a 5 star hotel but is now looking tired and in need of refurbishment. very convenient for main Pitlochry shopping area. Bar meal was excellent and staff attentive and courteous.. Room was quiet and bed comfortable .Good value for money.

We enjoyed our stay. There were a few small tweaks that could be made ie. instructions on how to use the coffee machine and towel rail. The property itself is lovely but needs a little TLC. Overall though we were very pleased and I enjoyed my swim in the excellent pool The breakfast and staff were very professional and friendly. Thank you.

Needs a makeover urgently
Nice location however the property is very tired and could do with a complete refresh. All the bedroom flooring squeaks terribly and the windows need replacing so there there’s less noise coming from people smoking outside the front of the hotel. Staff are great but this doesn’t overcome the other failings.

Overall room tired looking. Toilet seat not fitted probably, shower very dirty, toilet door didn't close properly and had no lock. No lamps for the single beds lamps in room has round plugs that could only be used around double bed. Socket beside single beds has been fitted upside down. Breakfast and staff lovely.

Lovely old place that has clearly been well maintained. Friendly and helpful staff. Nice, big room. Plenty of parking. Close to Pitlochry, well within walking distance.

The hotel in general is very run down. Our room was very poor and in desperate need of an upgrade, but given it was the Highland Games weekend, I think we got the last hotel room in Pitlochry, we put up with it!! Good breakfast and waiting staff were fantastic. The hotel was let down slightly by staff around reception, at one point a member of staff was stood on the customer side of reception eating his dinner. Not a good look
