"Last minute trip to the Lakes. Super easy check-in, lovely Sunday roast, dog friendly, spacious, clean, well presented bedroom & a plentiful full English breakfast. Staff super friendly, helpful & accommodating. We’ll be definitely coming back. "

"We had an amazing mini break. The house was warm and homely with plenty of space for us and 5 kids and all the amenities we needed. The drive up the track was a bit challenging but the location was worth it, the views from the garden and windows are amazing. It was awesome starting each day watching the birds and squirrels in the garden. After long walks it was nice to sit around playing some of the many board games and checking out the impressive collection of books. The log burner was nice to have but the house was warm enough so we didn’t need to use it. As a base we found it very convenient and were able to explore all over the Lake District without ever having to travel too far. The host was friendly and very accommodating. We had a great time and would love to come and stay again."

"The staff were Brilliant. We were given what could be described as a standard room when we arrived. When we showed reception picture of room which was booked they changed room to room on picture immediately. It was mentioned that it should not have been advertised as a superior room. Hotel was perfect for a warm , quiet welcome after a day walking. Staff were fantastic. "

"What a beautiful location and lovely little cottage. We were worried about the size of the bunk beds as we didn't realise they were not full size but my daughter and friend (5'11" and 5'9" found them very comfortable). The track up to the house was more of a problem. Glad our car has lots of clearance - a small car would not have managed those pot holes!"
