beautiful place but not sanitary found mold, ants, roach, dust, blood, got a rash, drain wasn't going down, brown water, water all over the floor after a shower, bed was broken in half and unpolite staff at lobby area. just a horrible experience at both rooms. When we called maintenance hours later no call back got switched to a different room the next day after calling 3 times and still dint come until an hour, after. the door barely opened or closed kept getting stuck Golf Carts would barely stop. Always coming in the room without permission. made a report and took photos of us. we supposably made too much noise threaten to call the police and accommodated the other customers after what we said about the first room the second one was worse. most of the staff were selective on who they were nice to. Other than that, the staff at the bar and the women were awesome very nice and helpful.

We had a great stay at Blue Bay. The staff were amazing and the property was well maintained. We read a lot of bad reviews but took the gamble and it paid off. If you’re looking for a good affordable, family friendly options that has two pools, plenty of food options, swim-able beach and great helpful staff this is could be the place. We also loved all the different animals we saw in the beautifully maintained grounds and the cenote lagoon just down the beach

We had to change rooms 3 times. Once for broken doors etc. and secondly BED BUGS our room was fumigated and they expected us to sleep in that room for the remainder of our stay. Don’t waste your time or money on this resort!!! Not a 5 star more like 1/2 a star! Nasty all together. Food was awful!! Don’t let the photos on the website fool you! FALSE ADVERTISING AT ITS BEST!!!!!

Great buffet. Different buffets each day was awesome. Did not miss home food. Beach was not great with lot of seaweeds. But you walk right to go in front of ocean maya royale and the beach there is great. Just 0 min walk. I would definitely come back.

Pool closes very early. Service was great. Rooms are not in their best conditions. Avoid their “talk” about buying a vip membership. 2 hours to charge 14k. All the resorts are the same.

There are common areas that desperately need maintenance, as well as within the rooms (air con wasn’t working when we arrived and were told it was across the entire building, and took few hours to get working). WiFi dropped constantly and lifts were on and off too. Staff were amazing, which is what made the stay better.

Could you believe the only thing I liked here was the wild life only. The beach was so dirty, when we wanted to talk to management or any higher up’s there was nobody in charge. they only send you to the Concierge (which they do for any problem you have). We were a couple and we asked for king size bed that they never gave us even after we asked 3 different times and got moved to different rooms that were worst than the last. The WiFi was atrocious and some employees there need to be humbled because they have terrible egos. I wouldn’t recommend this place at all to anyone.

The way they train the staff to just say no to everything asked is frustrating. There was no space for dining, even when making reservations the food was not good nor was the service timely. Waited over an hour and never brought our drinks. Made sure to keep us there long enough for the buffet to be closed when we got out. Pools were dirty. Rooms stunk like some kind of sewer smell coming up from the pipes in the bathroom. Everything was outdated and in need of attention. Beach was not clean. I’m grateful for excursion that got us out of the resort bc it was definitely a 1 star experience from the moment we got there. The golf carts will pass you by and wave even when you are flagging them down for a ride. I’m very disappointed in this location and this was my 3rd time to Cancun. Will be sure to avoid this place in the future!

pros: - complimentary drink upon arrival - restaurant open from 11pm-1am - bar and dance floor open until about 1, but told it could run later - lots of greenery, very beautiful cons: - food lacks flavor - rooms don’t look anything like the pictures - one of the elevators isn’t working - another elevator doesn’t open on the second floor, so an employee has to go up and open it for you - you most likely have to make dinner reservations a day prior - if you’re not able to get a cart from your room to a restaurant, it’s about a 5-7 minute walk to any of them.

This was a disaster of a stay. There is NO A/C in the rooms. The food is a mess and the management is horrible and rude. We ended up getting a full refund from Expedia for the first time in all our years of travel. DO NOT STAY HERE.
