The staff did the best they could. The property is not being maintained. We booked a spa experience that included the hydrotherapy experience and everything was broken. There were no apologies or discount offered. Overall it was disappointing spending our holiday here.

Definitely not walkable and no shopping ot restaurants around. However, there is really no need to keave the resort. They have anything you could want. Safe, quiet. Staff were great. Pretty good alcohol selection. Food was good over all. Very nice relaxed atmosphere. We really enjoyed our stay.

Kind of conflicted about this property. The staff was lovely, the beach sand was nice. The ocean was dark and a bit rough (watch out for jellyfish my husband and i were both stung as were 3 other people we met). If you walk along the beach (go right) about 20 mins, there was a clearer beach. Buffet breakfast was great. BBQ lunch at the pool was good. Lunch at Lola was nice, but the dinner menu was awful. No reservations at Capri (Italian) and there was often a long wait and we didn't get into Tempest for the teppenyaki because reservations were necessary and we never got in. Those are your only choices. Room service was often used and great. There wasn't a lot to do entertainment wise. There's only one big pool and it is really cold. The quiet side is also noisy. Wake up in the dark and run down to secure your chair at the pool or the beach.. that may be the only way you'll get your lounge. Though there is a policy posted that this isn't allowed, it happened every day. The rooms were nice and clean. Loved the rainshower. Sheets were soft. A bigger table inside would be nice if you're doing room service. If you eat outside, just be sure to bring it in, the Coatis will climb up and eat off the table. Overall, it was just ok for the amount we paid. We didn't hate it, we just didn't love it and we don't plan on a return visit.

It’s a good place if you’re a bit older couple. Not for young people in mid to late 20’s. Overall the food options were good mostly tropical with decent buffet options and bar was good however many times it would be hard to get a drink that isn’t just like the last drink.

This is a complicated review. At the end of the day we had a nice time because we were with friends. The hotel is nice and small and nothing is far away. The food we ate was pretty alright, the execution and logistics were awful. It seemed as though they had plenty of staff roaming around the entrance (not doing much) and then the waiters were so outrageously swamped with work they couldn’t do their job well. It would often take repeated requests to get water at your table or a refil of something. It could take 20-30 minutes for them to take your order at one of the restaurants. This was frustrating. There also seemed to be a lack of food available at times. The Buffett is only open at specific days/times. So sometimes you would ask yourself where you could get food, which felt absurd at an all inclusive. The staff being so overworked and overwhelmed, the hotel then lacked that warm essence that makes an All Inclusive special. Again it was just a logistics thing, once you had food it was tasty. The Buffett is the smallest I’ve seen. The bar’s variety of liquor was also disappointing. Nothing top shelf unless you want to pay extra. Another frustration was they have many cabanas for rent at the pool, $80 or so a day. A real lack of non paid chairs, this was a tough one for me. We had friends that were early risers that would go down to get seats by the pool at 6 am. By 7 am a good chunk of seats were taken. This really detracted from a fun holiday. It was fine.Wouldn’t return

The property is immaculate and very well kept. The rooms are spacious and the staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. The check in process was very quick and efficient and we were upgraded to an ocean view room because we were Expedia customers. My only complaint is that the day before we left housekeeping did a horrible job with our room! They left us no waters or towels, and barely cleaned the room and all the other days the service was immaculate. This to me was unacceptable. Plenty of beach chairs but cabanas are an extra charge and so are the coconut drinks. Capri Grill has the best Italian food (the mushroom risotto is to die for) and the Baja fish tacos at Lola Beach are the best I’ve had anywhere. The staff at the Coffee Republic were very friendly and always made the best lattes! Overall we had a great time and the staff was wonderful and made our stay a memorable one.
