The area getting into the ocean is rocky - so not able to swim easily - unless you have boat shoes. Very good nightly entertainment. Large swimming pool. Wait staff around the pool was very attentive bringing drinks.

Loved the main pool and activities they had daily. Loved all the restaurants with the exception of la hacienda, which was not good at all. The French restaurant was to die for. Beautiful decor all around the property. Not walkable in any way especially if you have a beach room, but staff is always a phone call away to request a ride. Really beautiful property and wildlife all around. Teppanyaki dinner was our favorite! The chef put on a great show. Live music nightly was amazing. Drinks could be better, but loved the “special drinks” like “007 James Bond shot”

We stayed in the Emerald Suite, Building 10 on the bottom floor. We frequent Excellence properties and wanted to try this one out. You definitely get more for your money with the Excellence/Finest brand. Our room was supposed to be ocean view but was obstructed from over grown greens which they cut down the very last day. We had couples massaged. There is no plunge pools at the spa for water therapy like most other resorts, the steam room didn’t work and very cramped locker rooms with only one bathroom stall to change. The food was very very good with an awesome buffet. You have to upgrade to the Prive package to even get liquor in your room if that matters to you. The Lobster at every meal was excellent and that in itself was worth the price if you like lobster. The facilities are massive which make it quite hard to get around if you don’t prefer to walk 1/2 mile in dress shoes or wait for a cart to come around. There is no grand entrance with a lobby bar like we were used to. We were there for the World Series with intentions of watching the game and getting bar food at the Sports Bar. There is no food here so plan accordingly. You get popcorn and hot dogs on a roller. The overall experience was great but definitely not 5 stars and will not spend hard earned money to return here.

I took a very bad fall on my first day. Reported it to the concierge, the floors were soaked and like ice. I was told so sorry. No other action was taken or offered. Our too Had building scaffolding for view. I was told my room didn’t come with a view. If I wanted to change rooms they would move me to a different building it only had double beds. Dinner we waited an hour and a half to be served and the rib eye was not edible. I couldn’t even cut it. I told them and again nothing was offered for the poor service and food, So disappointed with the lack of service and care when on an international trip! We had to ask to have our room cleaned and mini fridge filled.
