Chalet 40 is the perfect place for a relaxing escape to a warmer climate this winter, with a summer period that extends into late April, making Chalet 40 an ideal holiday destination. Located just 400 metres from 10 kilometres of uninterrupted sandy beach - a well-known spot for admiring dolphins playing in the sea - tranquillity and luxury go hand-in-hand with a wealth of attractions nearby that have made beautiful Plettenberg Bay - the Jewel of the Garden Route - famous today.Ideal for those wishing to explore the spectacular scenery, guests can hike to the Keurbooms River lagoon mouth to observe the exotic birdlife, or travel east to Keurbooms Strand, where the plateau drops down towards the sea and the rocky coastline begins.A plethora of things to do and see are easily accessible when staying at Chalet 40, including discovery of the native wildlife with Ocean Blue Adventures and deep sea fishing trips, whilst a visit to Buffalo Hills Game Reserve and Rhino Base Camp are a must. Located just 16km from Plettenberg Bay airport, and 90 kilometres from George Airport, this home is within reach of Knysna - sporting the famous Pezula golf course - Cape Town, Port Elizabeth and Shamwari Game Reserve by car.
The houses at Silver Ranch are arranged in a circle around an enclosed paddock with buck. The layout allows for privacy and tranquility, and the large grassed grounds make for a very safe and child-friendly environment. All guests will have access to our non-heated salt-filtered swimming pool. There are numerous beaches and swimming areas in this Bay, however, guests will have direct access to the sea via a 400m footpath from the house. The living area, kitchen, bedrooms and bathrooms are all arranged on the ground floor (180sqm), but there is also a loft area (80sqm) with two single beds reached via a staircase from the living area.The main bedroom is fitted with a queen size bed, wardrobes, a 13" laptop safe, and has an on-suite bathroom. The 2nd bedroom comes with double bed, and the 3rd bedroom has two single beds. Both these rooms have large wardrobes, and they share the 2nd bathroom. So in total there is place for eight people to sleep.The kitchen/living room and dining area is all open-plan. The fully-equipped kitchen has a serving island where meals can also be taken. The dining table is located in the entrance area, and seats six. This area is also equipped with an inside BBQ for the chilly winter evenings.
The northern side of the house is best for al-fresco eating, and this large covered area hosts the outside BBQ and sturdy wooden table and chairs. The uncovered south side of the house, which faces the central paddock, has another facility for outside eating.The laundry facilities are located in the garage, to which guests will have access.The house is surrounded by a maintained garden and huge lawn, which allows plenty of uninterrupted running and playing for children
Any visitor to this area will know that this area is not only beautiful, but that it allows the visitor with so much to explore and participate in. I felt that I should paste some comments from my guests here that have visited over the past 6 months or so. Hopefully their reviews willassist my prospective guests to decide.Dec 22: Beautiful property. Perfect for our needs and the private beach entrance was a bonus. Andre was a great host.Nov 22: Best stay I’ve had, Andre is a top class host, this stay is excellent for families or couples, lots of space and amazing braai facilities. Would stay here again.Nov 22: The stay was so good it made me want to move there permanently, it has made leaving very difficult, you also communicated all the details with us well so we had nothing to stress about, we could focus on our holiday. Would 100% stay here again, thanks for everything. PS. I also own a Pajero back in Dubai!Oct 22: What a great stay in one of SA most picturesque areas. Andre's place is well equipped with everything you need & more. TV full viewing package was very nice. Those wishing to walk to the sea can do so via a footpath that directly links Long Beach to Silver Ranch.
