Perfect vacation home
The views were amazing. I cannot overstate this. The house is clean and beautiful. It has everything you need for a wonderful & comfortable stay, and clearly it was built for you to enjoy the view of the mountains and the centro of Polcenigo below. You don't even need a car to enjoy fantastic hiking or a walk into town for drinks and gelato. The homeowner provided thoughtful and helpful instructions. There are too many things we loved about the house to name them all, but I have to share that the swing on the olive tree in front of the house and the big table on the back porch were magical.

Wir hatten einen wundervollen Urlaub in Polcenigo. Der Ort eignet sich gut als Ausgangpunkt für Ausflüge in die Alpen und an die Adria. Auch der Ort selbst ist sehr nett und weist einige Highlights auf. Die Unterkunft ist sehr ungewöhnlich und bietet reichlich Platz, um sich auch mal aus dem Weg zu gehen. Alle Fenster sind mit Fliegengittern ausgestattet, was auch dringend notwendig ist. Die Split-Klimaanlage ist im Flur zwischen den Schlafzimmern. Da die Schlafzimmer gegenüber dem Wohnbereich ein paar Stufen erhöht liegen, fällt die kühlte Luft hauptsächlich Richtung Wohnbereich und die Schlafräume werden nur bedingt gekühlt. Für den gesamten Wohnbereich hat die Klimaanlage nicht ausreichend Kraft. In Verbindung mit ausreichender Lüftung in der zweiten Nachthälfte und Schließen der Fensterläden am Tag kann man die Temperatur aber auch bei hohen Außentemperaturen (bei uns 32-35 Grad im Schatten) moderat halten. Die beiden Doppelschlafzimmer verfügen zudem über Deckenventilatoren. Vom normalen Wohnbereich führt eine Treppe hinunter in ein weiteres Geschoss. Hier befinden sich das zweite Bad, der Raum mit der Waschmaschine, eine zweite Küche(!), ein weiterer kleiner Schlafraum(!) und der in den Bildern gezeigt große Raum mit dem offenen Kamin. Den in der Beschreibung angegebenen Whirlpool haben wir dagegen nicht gefunden. Die Küchenausstattung ist gigantisch. Man könnte auch mit 12 und mehr Personen tafeln. Außen bieten mehrere teils überdachte Terrassen reichlich Platz.
