We had a great time, but not what we expected
We learned that the apatment we had rented was in need of urgent repairs, and we were offered a different property, We were expecting to stay in an apartment in the city, but ended up in a house in a suburb near Ponta Delgada. It turned out to be mostly remodeled house, with lots of space, very close to the beach, and walking ditace from restaurants and mercados. Mario was very responsive to resolving any problems that came up, the house was pleasant, and it turned out to be a very good experience.

Ponta Delgada condo
We were very happy with the property and its location. The condo was very clean and ideally located to get downtown on foot and in and out of the city by car. Parking on the street was normally easy to find. The balcony was nice a nice feature to have. The condo has no air conditioning and no there were no fans provided. This made sleeping at night uncomfortable. So just providing fans would have made the experience more enjoyable. Where our real problem was with communication with the host and he attempt to place us in a different property. I reached out a few days before our stay for check-in instructions and at that point he informed me there was plumbing issue and we would have to stay in a property 5 km outside of town. I informed him this was unacceptable especially at this late date. Mysteriously after I contacted VRBO the original property was available.

Change of Venue
I can not rate this property as we were not able to stay here due to plumbing issues that arose 2 weeks before our trip. The owner kindly relocated us to another property of his, a villa in Populo. He was good about trying to rectify this issue but the property was a different stay. We had been looking forward to staying in Ponta Delgada with a view from the balcony and easy access to the city by foot . It was a nice home but on a busy street 10 min from Ponta. It was not quite ready for guests, finishing touches needed. We greatly appreciate him trying to fix the situation. It just wasn't a comparable stay. Again, nice home but not the same kind of stay.

Awesome apartment
We really enjoyed our stay here. The cost is exceedingly reasonable. The location is great, with easy access to the highway, and most especially, really close to a gigantic Sol Mar supermarket. The apartment is spacious, clean, modern, and boasts pleasing sunset and partial ocean views. The hosts, Mario and Helena, had excellent communication. Overall a very nice stay at a great price!

Elegir el alojamiento de Mario ha sido todo un acierto para nuestro viaje. Mario nos canceló la reserva 24h antes de la llegada a nuestras vacaciones a pesar de tenerla desde hace un mes. Aunque la excusa fue una inundación, vimos el anuncio en otras plataformas. Una pena que se pueda jugar a sí con las vacaciones de las personas. Gracias al equipo de Vrbo y la garantía de reserva pudimos disfrutar de una semana maravillosa en Pero de Teive bay, y olvidarnos del mal trago y los nervios de la cancelación de última hora. Muy profesionales en Vrbo atendiendo nuestra reclamación por teléfono y correo. Gracias 🙏

séjour parfait
Appartement très grand avec de beaux espaces. Beaucoup de rangement. Proche des grands axes routiers pour partir visiter. Pouvons se garer très facilement dans la rue avec toujours des places disponibles. Par contre chaleur dans l’appartement le soir lorsque nous rentrions + mal insonorisé ; les voisins faisaient des travaux … Je recommande a 100% hôte très disponible par message et sympathique
