From beginning to end..............
From beginning to the end of our month long stay we thoroughly enjoyed every minute.
The location is excellent surrounded by banana plantations which are situated on the mountain side, the views are beautiful, don’t forget your walking boots there are some excellent walks with breath taking views, we particularly enjoyed walking the Levadas, we would recommend you get the “walk me” app, it will cost £4.99 for the full maps, but well worth it!
The Villa itself was clean and spacious with all the “mod cons”. Luisa was very helpful, nothing was a problem and she was always eager to assist, also the neighbours were very friendly and kind, and everyone spoke or waved and supplied us with various fruit and vegetables all freshly picked locally, we enjoyed watching the bananas being “picked” and loaded for transport to market.
Locally, there are a number of excellent restaurants and cafes in Pota Do Sol, we particularly enjoyed a morning coffee and a bite of breakfast in Dos Amigos a local restaurant and very reasonably priced with great service, there is also a beach bar where we sat and watched beautiful sunsets on a number of evenings.
We are planning to return to Villa Dom Carlos and look forward with anticipation to our return.
