Family Retreat
We all had a wonderful time at Casa de la Playa ! The beach was private and right out the back door. There is a great Chef's kitchen to prepare meals and lots of seating. The house had everything that was needed to have a fabulous week with family. This was our second year at the house and just booked it again for next year !

Excellent in every way!
This property was perfect for our family vacation! Plenty of space for everyone. Bedrooms and bathrooms were clean and comfortable. The kitchen was large enough for several cooks to work at the same time. We enjoyed the deck and the balconies off the two primary bedrooms. Three of our group were able to set up on one of the balconies to paint water colors of the beach and ocean. The location is wonderful. A grocery store was close and convenient. St Augustine was close enough for a few site seeing trips. However, we ate all our meals at the house because the house was so inviting we didn’t want to leave! I highly recommend this property.

We were in Jacksonville for a family wedding and this property was the perfect spot for us to relax before and after the wedding. We had a blast and loved the private beach. This is the second year in a row I have rented this house for clients to have a home during a week long event. Donna who is the host for the home does a fantastic job checking in to see how the stay is going and makes the week fly by. Great host, great location, and looking forward to 2025 & beyond.

Wonderful
Perfect place for all 10 adults and 4 kids. The house is set up so everyone had their own quiet space. Family living spaces were open and friendly. We had huge family dinners cooked in the beautiful kitchen and at the huge tables. This home is right on the beach and the kids loved it. The decks have comfortable chairs and lots of room. It was a wonderfully relaxing place to stay.

Great reunion home
We had a great time here. The Mid October weather was perfect, we had the beach to ourselves, and home was even more beautiful than the pictures showed. Our group had five families that each had their own suite and it worked perfectly. Donna was very responsive when needed. We asked if we could keep the driveway gated for the safety of our playing kids and she was there the next morning making sure we could. We would definitely stay here again!

SIMPLY AMAZING
Casa De La Playa is one of the most beautiful properties we've been blessed to stay at. My family was absolutely amazed when they arrived. We enjoyed the game room, the beach, grilling, and each other. Donna was great at communicating and always communicated quickly. They provided tents, beach chairs, body boards, surfboards, sand toys for the kids, etc. I was blessed to celebrate my 48th birthday in this beautiful home. Being here made me realize just how important it is to make memories with your family. You can not go wrong renting Casa De La Playa. We had our own personal space on the beach and we enjoyed every minute of it!

Fantastic Beach House!
We stayed at this property for two weeks, and it was perfect for our family! Very spacious house, with plenty of common areas for spending time together. The beach location is also excellent, with a well maintained walkway to the beach. Plenty of towels and silverware, both of which I think are quite thoughtful. The house has also been well maintained and cools efficiently. There were many beach toys, including boogie boards, surf boards, and paddle boards, which again, reflects some thoughtfulness about what people do while at the beach. This is an impressive house and we would definitely recommend this location and we plan to book it again!

Epic Family Beach Week
Casa de la Playa was the greatest! It has a great location because the property still has quite a bit of beach, and because of the convenient distance to both St. Augustine and Jacksonville Beach. The kitchen is an absolute dream! The house is beautiful, comfortable, and well-stocked with all the amenities. We didn't have to bring beach chairs, water toys, boogie boards, surfboards, SUPs, or beach towels, so if you were flying in for a stay, it is an ideal property. If you are driving, there is plenty of room to park your car INSIDE the garages. The property is ideal for extended family, and especially if you have several kids; our kids had a blast rooming with cousins. We got lucky and got to see a sea turtle lay eggs the first night we were there. It really was a perfect vacation.

Wonderful stay for our family vacay
First of all, this house is big, beautiful, comfortable and directly oceanfront! There was plenty of room for our group of 12 to hang out, relax, and play. The kitchen is large and well equipped and there was an abundance of beach and bath towels, plus beach chairs, boogie boards, SUPs, corn hole, board games, cards, pool, etc. Extra coolers for drinks are in two of the bedrooms and another on the terrace level. There are three sets of washer/dryers, and a very large oceanfront deck with lots of seating. Everything you will need for your group is here. The master suite is incredible, with ocean views, a gorgeous en suite bathroom, private sitting area and patio. It is separated and very private. As others have mentioned, two bedrooms at the back of the house (ocean side) must be accessed through the door to the front bedroom, but that was not an issue for our family. The property manager, Donna, was very responsive and helped us with a minor issue on the first day. She went above and beyond to make sure our stay was enjoyable. We loved Casa De La Playa!

Great house and location - Alcove privacy needs clarification
Overall , this property and location was great. We had to call property manager as the deck doors don't easily lock and she responded fast. The house is best laid out for three adult couples with many children. The problem arises when there are more adult couples, as there is little privacy for the two "alcove" bedrooms. Both the main and third floor master guest bedrooms require passing through the alcove bedrooms. AND there is no door lock between the alcove bedrooms and the bathroom. Overall very happy, but the privacy issues need to be considered before you rent.

Easy beach stay
We enjoyed the house very much, plenty of space and amenities. Tons of beach toys, board games, pinball and pool table. It was windy for our trip, and the boogie boards were necessary to go in the ocean, lots of fun. There are beach chairs and pop ups for shade too. Fully equipped kitchen, tons of bath towels/beach towels, shampoo, conditioner and body wash in most bathrooms (body wash was empty in two, but we didn’t need it). The beach is very shell-y so some water shoes would be a good idea. Great communication with Donna, and about 15 minutes from St Augustine with so much to do and see. Thanks!!

Perfect for the whole family
We were in town for my son’s wedding. There were 15 of us…5 of which were kids ranging in age from 7-15. It was wonderful being able to all be in one place. The views were amazing. The beach was quiet. The property manager, Donna, was wonderful and very communicative/responsive. (I even asked her many months before our stay if she had any rehearsal dinner recommendations (we had only been to St. Augustine one time before) and she was incredibly helpful). The house was very well appointed with everything you need for the beach, the kitchen…everything. TONS of towels (beach and regular). The beds were very comfortable. The master suite (especially the bathroom) is to. die. for. Lots of games for the kids; pool table; pinball machine; chess board…lots of options to keep the kids (and adults) entertained. The one thing I was surprised about that I think is important for guests to know is that the bedrooms on the main level and upstairs (not the master suite) are set up kind of interesting. The 2 bedrooms share a bathroom, which is fine. However, if you are in the bedroom on the back of the house, the only way to get out of the room to the main area of the house is to go through the bedroom on the front of the house (that it shares the bathroom with). Not a big deal to us as we are a very close knit family, but we weren’t expecting it to be like that. Certainly not a criticism…just FYI. Overall, it was perfect for our family and we had an amazing weekend!

Beautiful house in a private setting
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Casa de la Playa! The home and all the amenities were exactly as described. We really appreciated the quality of the kitchen, bathrooms, and bedding. We had everything we needed to cook some amazing meals while enjoying the views of the ocean from the kitchen. Tankless water heaters provided a good supply of hot water so never needed to worry about that even with multiple showers going on at once. The house was also fully stocked with everything we needed to enjoy a day at the beach. The location is remote enough to feel a genuine sense of peace and privacy but close enough to stores and restaurants for easy trips into town. Only negative was that the french doors at the rear of the home were difficult to open/close/secure and that was a little concerning. But overall this was a wonderful home that we would definitely rent again and recommend to friends/family.
