My daughter and I recently celebrated her birthday with a stay at the Embassy Suites by Hilton Portland Downtown, and it was magical! From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make our celebration special. The suite was spacious, impeccably clean, and perfectly suited for a fun and relaxing getaway. The hotel’s historic charm, combined with modern amenities, created a unique and welcoming atmosphere. My daughter especially loved the delicious made-to-order breakfast and the indoor pool, which became her favorite spot during our stay. A heartfelt thank you to the team for the thoughtful touches they added to mark her special day—it truly made the experience unforgettable. We’re already looking forward to our next visit and highly recommend this gem in Portland for families or anyone looking for a delightful retreat!

Everything was mostly great except for the hotel store. We were just trying to attempt to buy a bottle of wine to take to our room and it turned into a complete fiasco. Nothing is priced, half of the things aren’t even in the system. There are multiple keys for multiple cases you have to ask for each one separately. A colleague and I were on our way to a meeting and should’ve taken five minutes and ended up taking almost 20 minutes. You really don’t need that much security in your hotel store, It was way over the top.

Gorgeous well maintained historical property. Walkable blocks to Ptld Saturday Market, VooDoo Doughnuts, Chinatown, Incredible restaurants, Unique shopping, Kell's Irish Pub, Stumptown Coffee. Wonderful Staff, Great Restaurant, Happy hour. Couldn't ask for a more wonderful stay!!

Start with once you get out of the hotel, it's very smelly, dirty and full of homeless people. Hotel is dark, old and smelly. Only 2 small (can only accommodate 4-5 people depends on weight) elevators. Staffs are half-half, half are somehow friendly and half are snob who probably are also annoyed by the hotel's smell and dark atmosphere. TIME TO HAVE A GENERAL RENOVATION and try to clean the area around your hotel. Smells like human feces.

Staff was wonderful. Pool and hot tubs are great. Free breakfast and afternoon drinks and snacks! Security! Nice fireplace. It was very nice. Unfortunately our room faced city and music and loud yelling til late at night was annoying. Slow elevators. But would definitely recommend. Safe with great service. Ammenitu guest store on property is over priced.
