Great check-in experience. Room was good - clean and quiet. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was our dining experience. We sat in the bar and waited 15 minutes without being acknowledged so eventually we went up to the bar and asked the bar server how to order food and drinks. She took our order but they had run out of beer earlier in the week and didn't have any. We ordered the pasta Alfredo but mine was cold. Like barely above room temperature. I asked for them to heat it up which they did. Breakfast the next day was fine. Checkout was easy.

It was a perfect location and we loved the complimentary breakfast with omelets, over easy or however you like your eggs and all the extras. We also liked the indoor pool and didn't use the fitness center. Super impressed. If I am ever looking to stay in this location again I will definitely stay here!

This property has recently been renovated and is very clean. We thoroughly enjoyed the food and the staff was very kind. They have many hospitality freebies including evening soup and bread sticks, breakfast buffet and a reception drink. It was a great place to use as our jump off point for exploring thr area. The neighborhood is a bit run down with many vagrants. However, this property has excellent security and we felt safe in the gated parking lot as well as the building.

So open and inviting.
I was very impressed with the beautiful renovation in the Jantzen Beach theme. Nice art from magazines. The colors are a calm cool feel. The lobby looks beautiful and the open dining room is lovely. I was also happy to see the manager walk to the dining room and have a friendly chat to let him know how nice it looks.

Only place I'll stay if I go to Portland again. *Ample gated (free) parking without homeless people. (I do not like Portland anymore because of all of the homeless madness. However, I saw few in the immediate area and none on property. I felt that my family was safe on property - even when making multiple night trips back to the car. I had looked at a few places before booking due to the homeless. This was one of the places in the general area recommended by the police officer that I finally asked. 14' to airport at 8:15am.) The bonuses... *Delicious breakfast in the morning (6-9) with so much, to include fresh fruit, yogurt, ample cooked items and even the option for a custom omelet - all within a large dining space. (My family wanted to come back for this alone.) * Drink tickets in the evening (before 7) with a nice soup. *Great smelling lotions and soaps. *Coffee stations so coffee was available at least from 5-11 (while we were there). (Of course, there was a nice brew station in the room, also.) *Large, very clean room with a nice living room area along with the two queen beds. * Staff was very friendly and helpful. We stayed in a lot of hotels around ~$140 (Expedia and Booking) in WA,OR,NV for the weeks my family was visiting, but this was likely the best.
