Quite expensive in peak season, but well worth it for a night after a week camping in Acadia. Spacious room, comfortable. beds, nice bathroom. Well located for walking around the Old Port neighborhood. Friendly and professional staff.

I love Portland, and if you want a room with a balcony the Regency is the only one place I've found that provides this. This time we were in a regular room, no balcony but still fantastic service. Two branded bathrobes in the closet, with two umbrellas. Next to the hairdryer. In the bathroom big enough to hold a spare bed, beautifully folded pairs of towels, and a black one with white writing saying "make-up". This happens to be in a beautiful Armory, with Maine friendly staff, and the perfect location for dining and shopping.

Staff have been very kind and helpful. Perfect location to explore the Old Port. In room water was a nice touch. Many hotels require payment for water.
