Spacious Mid Century apartment - 5 min walk to Reed College

This cozy apartment has all you need for your visit to Portland! Features a bathroom with standing shower, bedroom with queen bed and a large open plan living room / dining room. The kitchen is fully equipped with stove, microwave, full size refrigerator and dishwasher. Warm up next to the gas fireplace, binge your favorite shows on the smart TV, or work remotely from the desk.

The apartment is located on the lower level of our home and can be accessed through a private entry patio with a code. The neighborhood is a mid-century dream with wide streets that are easily walkable. Located just a few blocks from Reed College in South East Portland, you can also easily walk to Trader Joes, cafes, restaurants, and parks. The bus is 2 blocks away, straight into downtown. Division, Woodstock, Sellwood and Hawthorne, some of the best commercial corridors in the city full of unique local, Portland restaurants, bars, cafes, theaters, shops, etc. are all within 10 minutes driving distance.

The apartment is totally private, but is the lower level of our family home and thus there may be some ambient noise (talking, walking, doors opening) that is audible during your stay. You may see our school-aged child or one of us coming and going from the house. Feel free to say "hello!"

Great Stay!
This property met all my needs for a weeklong visit. Ian and Christine have provided everything needed for visitors to feel at home. The unit was spotless and the bed is very comfortable. It is located on a quiet street within a short drive to shopping and restaurants. It's helpful to know the thermostat to control the temperature is located in the owners home upstairs but the property was kept comfortable despite the extra warm week I was there. .

This was a great stay, but I probably won’t use VRBO again because it’s been two weeks and I still haven’t gotten a refund of my deposit.

Lovely home & neighborhood!
We have visited Portland several times to visit our son. This is easily one of our favorite VRBO locations to stay! The place was beautifully decorated and the owners very responsive. It has a full kitchen so we were able to make meals as well as eat out at some delicious restaurants nearby. We will be happy to return for our next visit!

Nice lower level apartment. Well stocked, furnished and designed. Entrance is from back of house via garden path so people with mobility issues may find it a little difficult to access.

We stayed in this lovely place for three days for our daughter’s graduation from Reed College. We have stayed in many Air B & B and this one was excellent. It was spacious, well maintained, clean and the hosts were gracious and accommodating. The location to Reed College was great. We highly recommended.

Cozy place to call home.
I needed a place to stay while helping my Reed graduate move out of her house in Portland. This VRBO was close to Reed and super comfortable. It also has the added bonus of being decorated with lots of gorgeous hand-made ceramics, as the owner is an artist. Love it!!!

Cozy and close to Reed
We stayed to visit our son at Reed College and this cozy inlaw unit in the host’s home was perfect for us - clean, comfortable, and styled with creative and modern touches. The host’s handmade pottery dishes made morning coffee feel extra special, the gas fireplace kept us extra cozy during the rainy weekend, and the location was convenient to both the college and our other city adventures (mainly on the SE side, with some record-shopping excursions to other neighborhoods.) The hosts were kind to reach out to us and offer up an early check-in when they learned we had landed in town, and were available and communicative when we reached out, but otherwise respected our privacy. We feel lucky to have found this gem and we hope to stay again on our next trip- thank you for a lovely stay!!

Wonderful Place to Gather!
This large apartment was ideal for our visiting Nebraska family, and for local family to hang out during our week-long reunion. It is very clean, bright and comfortable, the kitchen well-supplied, and the living area thoughtfully arranged for x for watching the large TV together. The apartment's details are clearly explained in a booklet. (A bonus: beautiful pottery p81, she was getting around fine with just a cane. Now, two years later, she uses a walker, even in the house. Reaching the entrance, which is in back of the main house, entails maneuvering a lighted path of cement sidewalk, pavers and gravel -- tricky on foot, and no small feat with a walker. Thl

Fabulous MCM stay in quaint neighborhood outside of Portland
So glad we didn't stay in a hotel downtown like we usually do when visiting Portland! This charming and well-appointed apartment was both stylish and easily accessible to everything we wanted to do on our visit. Our host, Ian, was so friendly and helpful throughout the process and even recommended a fantastic sushi restaurant within walking distance. Loved all the personal touches in the property, from whimsical period-appropriate art to interesting books and magazines to handmade ceramic mugs for the provided coffee, it was really a dream and we look forward to visiting again in the future.

Large guest suite
Visited Portland and this guest suite was fantastic to explore Portland for a few days.. Was a nice large size, quiet, well furnished with mid century modern pieces and a full kitchen (sadly which we did not use because we ate out at the great restaurants). Easy street parking and 10-12 minutes from Downtown/Pearl.

Pretty neighborhood
This is on the lower level of a split level house with a walk out to patio and many many windows throughout. The layout and design of furniture was beautiful contemporary and functional. Our family lives in the area and this location is close to Reed College and accessible to OHSU Med School. We stayed two weeks while visiting and touring the city and quickly felt part of the neighborhood. It is walking distance to a nice park, Trader Joe’s and a few cool coffee shops and restaurants. There is parking right in front on the quiet street. We drove sometimes and took buses other times for easy access to the rest of Portland. This was also a great jumping off point for our day trips to the Oregon coast and Columbia Gorge. Christine and Ian really care about their place and its comfort to guests. We enjoyed a peaceful, fun, private stay!
