New owners. Took over the hotel Changed name from Aceto the Clyde. They said all check in would be virtual - no humans on site - not good. Had to send dr res photo and take selfies and send the- strange. In the end there was a support person at the front desk

This was the coolest hotel I’ve ever stayed in! Loved it so much! It was very hipster style, but wildly comfortable. The parking was a pain but totally worth it when I got inside. Not a huge fan of Portland as a whole, but definitely loved this hotel. If I ever came back to Portland, this is where I’d stay.

The heat didn't work! The room shown online looked NOTHING like what we got! Our beds were just a mattress on a two-inch plywood base, and I swear the shower had some mildew! The elevator smelt of urinal cakes, and when we went to the front desk we were advised to go to the "Virtual Front Desk" who everwhat ever that is USELESS!!!

The good; The hotel itself is quaint. It’s near the downtown Portland area with a bunch of shops and restaurants nearby…. The check in process through the virtual concierge made arrival and check in a breeze. The bad; Night #1 the air conditioning in my unit was not working. I complained through the messaging system asking for a room change but they said they are out of rooms but suggested I go down stairs and ask for a fan… I go downstairs and tell front desk the situation… I run into a gentleman in the lobby who was in the exact same situation, with no functioning AC… so I ask for a fan and the girl at the front desk gives me a little 12 inch fan… this was woefully insufficient so I go back down and ask for another fan, to which the girl at the front desk says that they don’t have any more fans…keep in mind it’s 95 degrees outside.. needless to say we didn’t sleep much that night.. Night #2 AC still not fixed… I ask for a room change again and I get the same generic response “our team is aware and working on it”… go down stairs and ask for another fan.. this time the gentleman at the front desk comes up with 3 fans.. so were there 3 more rooms the didn’t have AC, checked out and all of a sudden fans became available? While the room was still very warm, at least the air was able to circulate with these 4 fans and we were able to get some sleep.. For this inconvenience of no AC for 2 nights, Kasa offered me a $40 gift card. I recommend staying elsewhere

It was great being downtown. The room was small, our AC wasn’t working, so the staff provided fans for us. Fairly noisy at night.

Generally a good stay! i give it 4 stars because the price is great. Customer service was also pretty good. Every time I needed something they had my back. The area around The Clyde has plenty of things to check out: a billion coffee shops, restaurants, shopping, walking distance to public transit, etc. The free breakfast was kinda depressing, more like a snack than a meal. If you want to eat a nice breakfast, go next door to Cheryl's on 12th. Since the units are older and can get very loud and creaky from upstairs.

Price per night is great at a funky cool property. Factor in $28 per night in parking when considering the total cost of you have a car.
