The location is great as it's less than a five minute walk to restaurants and shops. The room we had was okay it was very small. There was no room to put your suitcases, etc. The bathroom lighting was terrible as most hotels/other are. The staff was very friendly and the breakfast was quite good. We enjoyed our stay in Porto.

Lovely guest house. The staff were very friendly and the location is about a 15 minute walk to the main areas of interest in Porto. I have to be honest though. I didn’t get much sleep whilst here. There is no soundproofing at all in the rooms. I would even hear people talking in the rooms opposite the hall, not just next door. The noise eventually died down at 1am to then start up again by 7am. If you get disturbed by noise or are a light sleeper I would not stay here, but otherwise it was a lovely place to stay.

Portugal from the Inside!
If you are a traveler who delights in learning about each country the way the locals live, come to Dukes Corner Guest House. The place is clean and has all anyone would need to be comfortable. The location is excellent to the buses and trains, a short walk only. The only caveat I would add is that this is a 198 year old property, according to Fatima who has worked there for several years. She and the rest of the staff are what made the whole stay worth every effort to get to Portugal in the first place. The caveat: Stairs. Lots of them and rather steep. If you need an elevator, go elsewhere. If not, enjoy the warmth and hospitality of a "real" hotel.

My friend and I stayed here for three nights and it was a wonderful experience! The hosts were incredibly kind and attentive, always making sure we had everything we needed. The room was comfortable and clean, and the morning breakfast was delicious.The town center was within walking distance, perfect for exploring. Would definitely recommend Duke’s Corner for anyone’s vacation plans in Porto :)

A little gem in Porto
Thank you to Fatima and her delightful team for making us so welcome. We already miss you! The guest house is superb and located within walking distance to all of the sights in Porto Obrigado for making our stay with you very pleasurable and the little touches of 'Port' and 'Chocolates' in our room were very thoughtful. Amazing Hospitality in Lisbon.
The building is beautiful and excellently restored. It is the perfect combination of historic charm and modern comfort. Our room was very spacious and comfortable. What really made the stay amazing though is the staff - Luis, Fatima and the breakfast staff were all amazing. They were so helpful in giving recommendations and were very kind to our children. The location is very convenient to all the sites. Additionally, there are restaurants and stores nearby.

This guest house is pretty good! It's around a twenty minute walk from most of the tourist attractions in Porto, which gives it a pretty good feeling of what Porto is like outside of that district (conveniently a couple blocks away from a laundromat!). Our room was acceptably comfortable (on the third storey, no elevator), but I was disappointed in the small bathroom. I was happy with staying here.
