Okay place to spend the night
We stayed at this hotel last week for a few nights and had a wonderful experience - a super-quiet room with a balcony view, super clean, very friendly and accommodating front desk staff and food services staff, etc. We came back last night for one night and our experience was not the same as last week. Our room was noisy and we really missed last week's staff. It is going to be a long evening of overnight travel home on very little sleep. Breakfast was good throughout both stays, although we were bummed that the croissants and wheat rolls were not offered this morning.

Great location for visiting Porto. 5 mins to the metro that links with the airport.. Hotel room was new and clean, well serviced everyday and good breakfast buffet.Staff helpful. Good restaurants near by. Everuthing walkable.. 15 mins to Douro front, dining and Port cellars.

What really makes this Holiday Inn stand out is what great staff it has. I arrived on an early morning flight and arrived three hours before check in. I was just about to ask to leave my suitcase at reception when the guy at reception said there was a room available which was really helpful as it meant I didn't need to go back to check into my room later. The following day, the staff also served me a drink from the bar even though they were in the process of closing. The room was also really good and an excellent shower. Breakfast also had a lot of choice including fresh items regularly being brought out. Good location as well with shops, bars and public transport options nearby.

Right in the heart on Saint Catarina, very conveniently located property where most everything to see is walkable as as nightlife and eating options. Offers free breakfast that was also very good.
