Despite my reaching out via message and email beforehand, the new management did not contact me beforehand with the entry code or any other information other than a demand to pay double city tax. I had to make multiple phone calls while traveling from the airport to the property, pay a last minute previously undisclosed deposit, and fill out a bunch of online forms before I was able to gain access to the property. My deposit still hasn't been released, nor has the city tax issue been resolved.
The property itself is fine, it's well located and was clean. There is a lot of noise from the street and other guests, and a couple of serious trip hazards, including two unmarked steps down to the bathroom from the corner of the bedroom.
I was also a little wary of security in the building. When I finally did get the entry codes at very last minute, the room code was the same as the front door code, and was very generic. It didn't appear to be the type of system with multiple codes for different guests, so hopefully they do actually change them and have different codes for different rooms.
There are tons of similar properties on the same street, I would look into staying at one of those for now, at least until the new owners get their act together.
