Our stay here made our time in Porto better than it already was. This hotel has such a personality to it. The front desk staff was kind, and they wished my mother a happy birthday at check in. When we returned to the room that night after dinner, we found dessert and a bottle of sparkling wine and a card wishing her a happy birthday. The room also came with a nice half bottle of red wine, which we enjoyed. The bed was so comfortable; it was some of the best sleep I've ever had. Our robes were nice and comfortable, too. I liked the fact that there was a separate space from the bedroom to sit and relax. The atmosphere adds a lot of energy to the hotel. There's a lot of character in the hotel and in this location. I would definitely stay here again.

The property was located in a busy area with street singers outside and tables full of diners and drinkers. Although as stated by a different person who reviewed the hotel, the music stops at 10 PM and then it is quiet. The staff was very helpful recommending places to eat dinner that were excellent. Everyone was very polite and professional. The pastry and port was fun to have every day before retiring. Breakfast in the morning was huge and fabulous and worth any extra price since it is so convenient and plentiful. I would recommend staying here if you were in Porto and wanted to be close to attractions.

This is a very well located hotel with lovely staff. the historic nature of the hotel added a very special quality. There is music in the square below until 10.00pm, so not super quiet, but most of the artists were very good!!
