Serene 12 acre mountain escape

Located just outside the town of Portola, nestled on 12 acres of stunning landscape, this home is the escape you’ve been looking for. This property offers incredible opportunity whether you are sticking close to the house, hiking up to the property’s scenic overlook or if you are looking to explore with breweries and hikes just a short drive away. The vaulted ceilings and open concept is combined with the kitchen and living areas, anchored by a wood burning stove and 360 views of the mountains. Two queen-sized bedrooms and a full bath can be found on one side of the house with a king-sized master and adjoining en suite bath located on the other. Additional amenities include a laundry room, TV and fully equipped kitchen. Enjoy all this property has to offer from snow play around the property and cozy fires in the winter to hikes in the summer.

Portola house
We enjoyed our second stay at this wonderful home in Portola. Every window has a beautiful view. After hiking at Davis Lake or enjoying the Lakes Basin area it’s great to come back to a comfortable house and relax with the great view. Sunsets are particularly nice. Thanks for allowing the dogs. It’s definitely a place to return to!

Great house!
We stayed here for a golf tournament at Grizzly Ranch. The house was spotless and well-stocked with essentials. The golf course was less than a 10-minute drive away. We would definitely stay here again!

This was a great weekend home with great amenities and amazingly clean. Although no A/C it was comfortable and cool. The owners responded quickly to a small issue and we were able to take care it in via message. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the time there!

Fantastic Views
We rented this house during a heat wave with daytime temps around 100 degrees. We were worried the lack of air conditioning would be a problem, but it wasn't at all. The house is well insulated with ceiling fans and a wraparound eave that shaded the exterior, making the patios cool for sitting outside in the evening and morning. The kitchen was well appointed and though we didn't cook anything we were happy to see a coffee maker with a box of filters and a large pot. What really made this property were the views! We will totally come back.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Portola House. It was beautiful, comfortable, quiet, and had everything we needed. The setting was perfect with lots of space. Mornings and evenings were particularly beautiful. Every direction had a beautiful view. We were there at a perfect time with everything green, wildflowers everywhere, and pleasant temperatures. It’s located close to Lake Davis for walks and easy driving distance to the Lakes Basin. The dogs were so happy too. Thanks for allowing them. I hope to go back next year!

Perfect little getaway spot.
We were in town for a bike race with our friends and our 12 month old son and this place was great for us and fairly baby friendly. Traveling w/ a Baby POV: We brought our own portable crib and high chair. But didn’t have to do much baby proofing. Lots of space for the baby to walk around and not much that could hurt him or he could break. Get away POV: It couldn’t get much better. Lots of space, great wrap around patio, grill, quiet, nicely designed home, we’ll stocked kitchen, the bathtubs are fantastic (great for baby’s and Greta go soaking). We also loved the little entry way because we could store our bike safely without bringing them in the house. Travis was great to communicate with and everything was set up and ready to go when we arrived. We’ll be back!

Wonderful location, views and more
We loved the house. It was easy to find and in a great location. The house has sharp knives. How many rentals have that? I love to cook and the kitchen is in the center of house and it was great. We plan on returning another time to the house. We had the most relaxing time with the family.

Anyone who loves to stay secluded like we do, enjoy the nature then this is the perfect cabin for you and your four legged friend. Plenty of outdoor space, there is one neighbor across the street but it's on the front side and not that close, but the complete hill, backyard is for your furry friend and for you to enjoy. The cabin is awesome and very spacious and each room has lots of windows and doors with natural light coming in for you to enjoy the nature. We would definitely visit again. Overall it's a great place for your complete family.

If you want to spend some quiet time with family and friends, this is the place for you. Located on 12 beautiful acres with a fantastic view of the sun setting behind the mountains. Some of the local wildlife even turned out to greet us upon our arrival. The home is perfect - clean, well-equipped and functional.

The place is beautiful, however it took a week or so for the property manager to get back to me.
The fridge went out the we arrived Tuesday and the fridge went out Wednesday. We did not get a refund we only got 50 back for the cleaning because the place was not clean. We will not be renting from them again.
