Second stay at this gorgeous hotel. Christmas decorations are beautiful and so convenient to walk to train station and Providence Place for IMAX theater.

I unfortunately became extremely ill during our stay. The front desk staff was not at all helpful in helping us extend our reservation. We were told to book another night ‘online’ and they would try to ‘not move us to another room’. We will not be back.

The hotel is beautiful and historical. The staff was not helpful. When I called to have water brought up to our room the response was, “we have water in the lobby you can come down and get it”. This was unexpected and I was taken back considering I had high expectations from this facility. The location was great and there are a lot of food options in walking distance.

How Hilton has their name in here is beyond me. No bell service no coffee in room no valet parking. You either get Ac or heat. Our room was 78 degrees and heat could not be turned off. The room wasn’t ready at 3 and I could not even register and come back when room was ready since it’s not their policy. Stood online three times. Beautiful art deco design ruined by horrible service. Not guest centric at all. Hope Hilton restores some magic here. A few other guests complained about the same as we were leaving. Horrible experience and $500 a night. Never again.

We expect to enjoy our stay with this classic property in the middle of the downtown of Providence, but came away with a very different experience. Very few Staff on site to support check in. The bathroom is not very well maintained. Handwashing sink is cracked. The body wash bottle is empty. No place to store or hang used wet towels.

beautiful hotel - lovely view of the city. The park across the street is not very nice or safe but there is plenty to do near the hotel. Just stay out of the park.
