The Kraken Cabin-nestled in the jungle, next to a river, Golfito Bay 5 min walk.

Relax at this peaceful place to stay in nature. Play and swim in the river that borders the property or Golfito Bay, a 5 minute walk. Hang out, barbecue or play games. The cabin has many large windows to view the jungle. The walking trails have lots of wildlife to see. Three species of monkeys visit the property on a daily basis, besides many other animals.

The cabin is located in a little community called La Cuna, 15 minutes from Puerto Jimenez. Super easy to get to, two wheel drive vehicle no problem. Two restaurants /bars with in walking distance both have pools. Beautiful cabin with high ceilings A/C, hot water, lovely outdoor shower. Nestled in a small beautiful jungle right next to Agujas River. Within 5 minutes walk from to Playa La Cuna. 6 miles (15 minutes) from the town of Puerto Jimenez and 7 miles from town of La Palma.

There are many tour options to Corcovado National Park, the gem of Costa Rica parks. The Golfito bay teeming with fish, whales and dolphins. The Gulfo Dulce is the largest natural estuary in Central America which is fed by 22 rivers.

To get to Puerto Jimenez you can take a 45 minute flight from the Domestic airport of San Jose, located 5 minutes walking distance from the International airport in San Jose (SJO) to Puerto Jimenez Airport. From the airport you can take a 15 minute taxi to the cabin. You can also rent a car, it’s approximately 5.5 hour drive from San Jose Airport or if you are feeling adventurous, take the bus!

This is such a cool place. Great AC and WiFi. The private trails around the property are incredible and back up to a river. Feels very secure. We found kinkajous, squirrel monkeys, coatis, snakes, frogs all around the property. Absolutely must stay here if you like exploring nature on your own, especially at night.
