Had a great time at the Excellence Riviera! The food was great, the staff was great, and rooms and amenities were great! We had to leave a few days early due to an emergency, and the hotel was more than willing to work with us and refunded us the nights we could not use. 5 stars all around!

All the staff were very nice, welcoming, and always around to help. There was constantly someone nearby to ask for a drink. The restaurant variety was great and most of the food we had was very good, it was also nice that only one restaurant required a reservation. The room was very clean, and large with a separate seating area. The turndown service (excellence club room) was a nice touch. The daily chocolates left in the room were good but also a little concerning if you have any allergies because you don’t know what is in them each day. The last several days we were there, they were cleaning up the seaweed on the beach and we saw that they had been piling it up behind a sandy hill on the edge of the property and it was starting to smell pretty bad… The only other negative thing to say is that the SPA is REALLY expensive compared to other resorts we have been to… The service was great but seemed overpriced for what you get. Overall it was a nice relaxing stay that truly made us feel special with the added touches that came with the excellence club upgrade.

This was our second visit to Excellence Riviera Maya. Our first trip was one of the best so I was not sure if the second would live up to that. It did and more. The service was just as good if not better, they had more restaurants available at night and they went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed and wanted. They had plenty of activities throughout the day but were not pushy when we wanted to chill. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there and hope it’s not too long for us to return.

Staff/customer service is out of this world. They go above and beyond to make sure guests are taken care of and seem genuinely happy with their job. Really loved the property. The food at the Lobster House was our favorite but none of the restaurants disappointed us. Beach water was invaded by seaweed making the water pretty dark.

We went honeymooning to excellence riviera and it was the best decision. The service was beyond excellent, everything was clean and well kept, everything was comfortable, the food was incredible, and the lazy river was an absolute bonus. Nice resort , pleasant staff, food above average for all inclusive. Did not like that as a smoker they only have 1 ONE designated smoking area They should have at least 4 places for a resort this size. Have been to many others who try to please the smoker and non smoker.
