Great place for foodies! So many options and places to eat. Not satisfied with beach and ability to swim in sea water. Lots of huge rocks under the water, not safe to swim. Service is great, no complaints. Kids club is an awesome option!

Just enjoyed an amazing 10 night stay. The food was amazing. The rooms clean and modern. Pools were great. The staff was over and above expectations. The beach was the only thing that didn’t amaze as it’s not very swimmable as it’s rocky and the tide can be high on windy days. Overall 10/10 experience, definitely would recommend for families, couples and retirees.

It was a good experience stayed for 6 nights with kids everybody enjoyed but there was very less options for indian vegetarian food so we suggest them to put some vegetarian options in lunch and dinner.

The property itself was beautiful and well-maintained with really good amenities. Unfortunately, we found the food to be very unimpressive, perhaps because the focus seemed to be on quantity and diversity of food types rather than overall quality. This is what makes us give this beautiful resort only an average rating.

We Love This Place!
We have visited El Cid's properties in Puerto Morelos over a dozen times and have always had an enjoyable stay. During our last visit, my wife had a negative experience with a staff member at one of the restaurants, so I brought it up to hotel management. I had no expectations beyond them taking action. After spending that afternoon at the pool, we returned to our room to find a hand-written apology note, a small chocolate sculpture, and a bottle of champagne. They definitely listened to my concerns and went above and beyond to make sure my wife was smiling before we left. Bad interactions happen sometimes so I would not fault them for 1 in over 10 years, but I will give high praise for their response!

We just stayed 11 nights at the Ventus Ha with our 3 children (8, 10, 12) and had the most memorable experience. The property is on the north side of the road and provides access to the Marina El Cid as well as the Ventus El Cid, plus all of their respective amenities, restaurants, bars and pools. The Ventus Ha itself is the most serine and modern of the 3. The fact that it is across the road made it more secluded and private almost, and the other properties were easily accessible by “carrito” (golf carts) which are readily available on request. The Marina (1st built) provided an excellent typical Mexican resort energy with full buffet breakfast every morning until 11:30 and a family friendly party atmosphere with swim up bar, daily pool entertainment, water slide and cliff dive. The Ventus (2nd built) was an amazing in between feel, again, very family friendly with a huge main pool with waterfalls, and 2 additional infinity pools, 1 of which being adult only. It also was where the main lunch spot could be found, named Mercado de Dolores. The Mercado had an abundance of options for everyone, almost like a food court with Mexican, Italian, Asian and many more options like custom crepe station, ceviche bar and much more. Full service was provided at all dining establishments. Various dinner options available by reservation too. Washrooms and towels were always within steps of where we were, the staff was friendly and welcoming. We can’t wait to go back!! ¡Hasta luego!

This is a great resort. The landscaping is beautiful, the pool are gorgeous, the food is good and the staff is very nice. However, the bed was uncomfortable , there was no comforter and it seems like they are cutting corners from my previous stay. Regardless, for the price, it can't be beat. It is a great resort with nice amenities.

Tuvimos un viaje familiar y disfrutamos mucho la estadía en este Resort, recomiendo ampliamente. En general todo el personal fue muy amable y servicial, sin embargo, en los restaurantes con reservaciones como el Marina y El Italiano sugiero que mejoren la atención ya que en ambas reservaciones nos apresuraban a comer porque ya iban a cerrar y la actitud de los meseros no fue tan grata, fuera de eso todo lo demás estuvo increíble.
