Perfect stay
Been to Rocky point many times, but never stayed at the Playa Bonita hotel. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. Staff was accommodating and friendly. After check in with my dog, a staff member came to the door with two dog bowls, a dog bed, and other supplies. I have never experienced this at any other hotel I’ve ever stayed at.

Overall, our stay was very nice. The room was very clean and comfortable and nicely appointed. The pool and hot tub area were very nice and we enjoyed getting a drink at the pool bar. The only thing that was a little quirky was the elevator, which occasionally would go up and down between the first and second floor before properly engaging.

The staff was friendly also very helpful with all of are questions. My husband did an upgrade to our room the staff went out of their way to help me move our bags. The views were amazing. We will be back for sure and have told all of our family and friends.

They do have a hidden charge for additional adults that they don’t mention and it’s 30$ which I think is crazy so call ahead

Solid value in this quaint beachfront hotel. Nice restaurant and small pool. The hotel itself is a 3 star but the outstanding location pops it up a bit. Safe and clean with lots of free parking.

My experience wasn't good. The locks and chain latch on our hotel room door could all be opened from the outside. Staff said it was ok because they had 24hr security on the property. Refused to let us change rooms, even to downgrade the room. One employee said all the locks are like that. It's hard to sleep knowing that someone can get in the room at any time. There is a restaurant on site but it's the same price as American restaurants and the food is so so. You will need to drive to find good food at a decent price. Details were not great, for example the soap rack in the shower was broken, toilet seat not properly aligned, shower curtain doesn't reach the floor so everything is wet within 10 seconds, etc. We got the nicest room they have but I don't even care about any of these things. The lock issue kept me from sleeping at night. I couldn't get in touch with anyone at expedia to find different accommodations so I won't stay there or use Expedia anymore. Good luck out there.
