When I booked, my check in time said it was at 3pm but when we arrived they told us check in time was 4-4:30pm. The entire hotel smelled like humidity. When we finally got our room the door was broken as well as the curtains. They refused to moved us to a different room instead, they made us wait for maintenance to fix the door because it wouldn't close. Curtain remained broken so at night i had to improvised so in the morning we wouldn't have the sun in our eyes early in the morning so i ended up using my bobby pins to close the curtain the best that i could. Jacuzzi on the roof was close for maintenance, a staff member said it'd remain close for a while. You can tell they are trying to save a penny when it comes to food. Most of it is vegetables and legumes and the way they make the food is not tasty at all. All their snacks like ceviche, nachos, etc were horrible and tasted so cheap. Difficult to exchange wet/dirty towels for clean/dry ones because a lot of the times there's no one there. On 1 ocacion i had to wait about 40 minutes for someone to come so i can return the towels (because you are required to return them by 9pm). Not enough chairs etc for people around the pool, people at the front desk very rude. 1st and last time i stay at this hotel.

The pools, how close we were to the beach. The pool bar and service from their staff. Our housekeeper Veronica was absolutely incredible. Diana, Adrian, so many staff members I can't name, but they were all fantastic 😊

The resort is one of the smaller ones in the area which made it feel very rustic, local, warm and very convenient. After a day or 2, the staff knew you by sight, and were very attentive. Most of the guests were local Mexicans which made us feel like we were immersed in the culture and country. We played tennis daily at the nearby Sunset resort which was a highlight! The sunsets from the Sky Lounge were beautiful! The resort is not flashy in the least but we enjoyed its understated charm,localness and it felt like a true getaway from the bustle of Western hustle and bustle.

The rooms were old and a little run down , the bathtub was chipped and very old , broken tiles , broken toilet seat . No blankets for the rooms , just a sheet on the bed . The hallway had water damaged ceilings and poor lighting/broken fixtures. The gym equipment is very old and limited. Not all the rooms have Safes . The excursions were affordable but they want more $ during the excursion for things that should be included. Breakfast and lunch was good , but only one el la carte restaurant, with 2 themes , Mexican and Italian . Only one pool , but it was clean .

The food was well done but no room service as offered online. The staff at the resort were good but most don’t speak English but tried and were helpful but front desk staff were at times rude as well as at the door. There is no mini fridge in the room (I like to have cold water, sone yogurt and small incidentals that I purchase at the store). Wifi is terrible and disconnects a lot and almost useless in the rooms. The entertainment shows were good. The pool is very nice with a swim up bar and lots of cocktail options. The sky bar was nice with beautiful panoramic views of the city. It was a decent stay overall and good value for the money.
