Seafield Cottage is a luxurious escape built with our guests in mind. With stunning rural and sea views, the cottage is minutes away from most popular Hawkes Bay locations. We provide a comprehensively stocked kitchen with generous breakfast essentials. The 1.5 hectare property has been extensively planted with New Zealand native trees, shrubs and flax and edibles. Relax in our spectacular garden with a book from the library, or enjoy a walk around the hillsides to take in the panoramic Hawkes Bay view. Help yourself to anything seasonal that is in the gardens or orchards. Complete your stress free day by soaking in the private spa with a complimentary bottle of wine and watch the native bird life just inches away. Or, if you are feeling energetic, you may care for a round on the petanque court, options are limitless. We have tried to think of everything you need when away for a romantic get away. There is an outside fire to enjoy if it's chilly outside. A private Bar B Que area. Numerous areas on the property to sit and contemplate life. A little patch of paradise
This was our second visit to the cottage. Such a lovely spot for a little get away. We love the view, privacy and facilities that the cottage offers. The cottage is small and compact but has absolutely everything that you need. We nave decided that we will have to be sure to come back annually :)

A great place for a restful break
This property is comfotable and welcoming. The host really makes it a home from home, they have many personal touches to make your stay a good one. The property is peaceful, quiet and with no light polution , a great place to sit out under the stars. There are so many places on the property to sit with very different outlooks, you will always have a place to rest.

This was easily one of the best places we've ever stayed at. Impeccable, functional, and stunning. The host (Sheryl) was friendly, kind, and helpful. She gave us our space, but was always on hand to help if needed. We will definitely come back if we can. I cannot say enough nice things about this gem of a place. 🙂

Outstanding location for those who desire bliss
I cannot possibly praise this place enough! The photos do not do it justice. Sheryl communicated with us perfectly prior to arrival and in even more detail when she knew she would not able to meet us on site as planned. In her absence, her husband, Paul, greeted us and was kind enough to show us around the property, giving us a bit of the history behind its evolution. What he and Sheryl have created in the landscape, the gardens, the decor and amenities in the unit itself are astounding. We had a long day getting there from Nelson and didn't arrive until after 5 PM. The fridge was stocked with enough goodies for us to make a light dinner and hearty breakfast. Every kitchen and bath detail one could wish for was available. The most comfortable robes you'll ever find got us to and from the nearby hot tub to relax under the full moon. And the morning sunrise greeted us through the windows/doors on the front of the building. The sounds of Tui and other birds feeding from the deck were delightful. (I think I even had a personal relationship going with the really fat Tui.) Our stay was too short. Please plan your stay to include at least 3-4 nights. Our next regret was in not getting to meet Sheryl, the artist who planned, designed and created the gardens which provided absolute zen with every view and breath.

Fabulous haven for relaxation in comfort
A magnificent country setting and a very well appointed cottage make this a truly special place to stay. The owners could not have been more helpful, yet give you total privacy in the accommodation. Excellent facilities. A well appointed kitchen, modern bathroom, and very comfortable bed all add to the experience. Wandering round the beautiful gardens, and soaking in the hot tub add extra bonus points to this truly amazing place.

Magical Memories
The overall experience felt like an outerbody experience!!! This is nature on steroids. Cheryl and Paul's studio, once you settle in you won't want to leave. Just sitting outside on the comfortable sofa while watching the birds drink from Cheryl's special formula was my favorite! Viewing the stars while sitting in the spa was high on the list too! Don't hesitate booking, we tried to extend our stay but the studio was booked so you might want to add a few more days to your stay..

What an absolute gem we were lucky to find for our 2 night getaway to enjoy the Robbie Williams concert and just to press pause for a moment. Paul and Cheryl Seafield Cottage is a credit to you both and you have thought of everything. Your warmth and hospitality is equally matched with utmost privacy to enjoy your stay at this beautiful spot. You went over and beyond with helping us with transport and we can’t thank you enough. Tuis, stars, and fresh eggs!
We had a fabulous time at Sheryl's place, which began with a warm welcome. We enjoyed free range eggs and a bottle of local wine, luxuriating in the spa, and spending time looking at both the countryside and the sea. We would highly recommend this lovely get-away.

Such an amazing place, the owners are very nice and friendly, and have added so many thoughtful touches to the place, it has everything you could need to enjoy the space. The wildlife/birds were amesome to watch, the spa with view was fantastic, and the outdoor fireplace was a highlight! We will 100% rebook - the perfect place to relax, recharge and reconnect.

Lovely view and excellent location
This cottage vacation is a really nice and peaceful getaway! Definitely recommend if your after a relaxing and calm place. It has such nice views, fresh vegetables and fruit trees all around. Sheryl was so welcoming when we got there and left us some wine and Tim tams for our anniversary celebration! 🎉 such a cute place, definitely a must visit if visiting napier

Very relaxing stay
We spent 5 nights at Seafield Cottage and what a stunning location it is. We were after a relaxing break and it certainly was that. We arrived to fresh eggs and other extras in the fridge which was so thoughtful. The kitchen was also fully stocked with everything we needed for our stay. The cottage is immaculate and has a cosy feel to it. Every morning we awoke to watch the tui feeding on the deck - very special. It is just the place to unwind and feel connected again. A big thank you to Sheryl and Paul. We would love to return again and would highly recommend it to others.

Impressive Place and People
This is an impressive place for many reasons. First of all, Sheryl and Paul are superlative hosts: friendly, knowledgeable, accommodating and the list goes on. They really made our stay truly enjoyable and memorable. The cottage has stunning views and is very private while also being close to Napier and numerous other things to do. The cottage is immaculate with thoughtful amenities including some local food and produce. While NZ is a long way away for us, we are already looking forward to coming back and would definitely return to Sheryl and Paul’s idyllic cottage in the countryside.

Wow. What a place!
We had the most delightful stay at this charming property. It’s hard to put in order what we loved most, The View, The bird life, the sound of distant cows and sheep or the beautifully appointed cottage. We were warmly welcomed by Sherl and were delighted to find the kitchen stocked with the essentials- Butter, Bread, Eggs, Milk, chocolate biscuits AND wine. The photos do not do this property justice. It is truly charming and the favorite of our NZ tour. Highly recommend and thank you Sheryl and Paul it was a pleasure.

Seafield Cottage
Thanks Sheryl for creating such a magical place. An easy 15 minute drive down to Napier. We had five days to unwind and relax overlooking the gorgeous countryside and gardens, enjoying the fabulous birdlife and evening barbeques and spa under the stars. The best of everything, five stars. We didn't want to leave and hope to return soon.
